Bought endless sunhats but this one did great on a hiking holiday in very sunny weather. The rim is nice and wide, the light coloured top keeps the head cool, it is super lightweight and the colour combo looks remotely feminine. Nice touch to be able to use the studs to turn it into cowboy style, which looks a tad less silly than the 'fishing hat' style. But works a treat in the sun!

This is the third hat I have bought from Comhats. Previously bought a straw trilby style hat for travel that I lost. Liked it so much that I immediately bought a replacement. This hat will be perfect for hiking in hot weather. Nicely ventilated. Good fit. The quality of the materials and finish is very good. Would recommend this company for those reasons.

I don't normally bother writing reviews but thought I would for this hat to "defend" it!A lot of people have commented that the fabric on the top is thin and flimsy - well it is thinner than the rest of the hat but appears to be the - hopefully proper - same Sun Protection 50+ fabric as the rest. That's all it needs for the top! The lighter and more "breathable" the better!It's the RIM that needs to be stiff and keep its shape and it does!Best of all - and quite unusually - the top part of this hat covers over the mesh part (but leaving open at the bottom) to ensure the sun doesn't shine through the mesh to largely defeat the purpose of the sun protection. A lot of people have enough hair to partly (but not fully) protect the sides of their heads but I don't as I'm almost bald! I'm also a cancer patient on chemotherapy and MUST have full protection. Therefore I really need a well designed hat like this.It also claims to be waterproof - not just shower proof, and I expect it is though haven't tried it in the rain yet.I also like the fact it has a really nice wide brim, but not so wide it looks silly. As a sun hat that gives you a little more shade and as a rain hat obviously a little more shelter.It also very easily packs flat without losing its shape at all. It can probably be rolled or folded too but I wouldn't want to try that and as it easily flattens from the crown that's all it needs.When buying this hat I actually bought several to try - some about 1/2 the price - but this is the one I'm keeping and going to rely on and use all summer.

Great hat for both sunshine and rain including strong winds with the chin strap. It might not be the most fashionable look but you’ll have the last laugh when you’re not burnt or drenched!

My main reason for purchase was to get a sunhat that could be easily folded and packed. This item is good quality, fits well - there is a choice of sizes and a small adjustment on each with a drawstring, so you can size it for a perfect fit. Good choice of colours, too, and for the quality, the price is very reasonable.

I bought this for my husband who has an enormous head! We’ve never managed to find a hat that doesn’t groan at the seams as it’s crammed over his bountiful bonse, until now! The XL, which according to the size guide should have fitted, was so big hubby’s head looked like an acorn in an egg cup! Even when the size adjusting cord was tightened the thing just bunched above his ears! Shame as it looks like it could keep the sun off probably his whole body and mine too if I stood next to him! Unfortunately, it wasn’t as pretty as the photo either; the rim was very floppy leaving the whole thing looking rather limp and deflated 🥹. So, while I’m sure it will fit and suit someone, it’s going back for a full refund.

I've been working outside on turf & landscaping for many years & have always went with the ball cap route- well not anymore. This hat is a game changer! It has vents for the heat to vent out of the hat. The sweat from your head works it's way out & there's no wiping sweat off of your face. It reminds me of dry fit tech in knitted caps. It's pretty awesome!As far as the fit, it's absolutely perfect. I went with my size & it fit exactly right. It has the strap u can tighten in the back if the cap is a little loose. It also has the strap to keep it from flying off your head in windy conditions or when u need to take it off to dangle on your back. Pretty cool!This hat is light & made just right to give u shade from the sun. It's 100% washable, cleanable & storing it is super easy.. All in all, this hat is perfect for outdoors. I'll probably be getting another one just for a backup...lol
