5.0 out of 5 stars I'm a happy bunny!
I received my Bose soundbar today and so far I'm very impressed. It was very simple to set up, when I found out where the outlet was on the back of my TV. Once I got used to the remote control, I played with it on various programmes, and switched from dialogue to normal several times to compare....there is no comparison! I'm one of those people who when watching a film is continually saying "what did he/she say?" Which is why I went for a soundbar. Also I also can't stand music in programmes drowning out the dialogue. I have watched the Big bang theory so many times I virtually know the scripts, and today, I watched an episode and during a funny scene, I suddenly heard an audience member laugh and then say oh nooo.....never heard that before. Also when people applaud, it doesn't sound as if they're clapping with gloves on! On the whole its not one with all the bells and whistles, but its perfect, simple to set up, good looking, and its now making my viewing a pleasure, crisp, clear voices, no sudden crash of music drowning out speech. Some people are mentioning that a lack of lights on the unit is a small let down, but hey, when I use the volume control, I don't need lights to tell me its working, I can hear it! I didnt realise what I was missing until I bought this unit, and I'm so glad I did. Its a perfect piece of kit, neat and unobtrusive and the sound quality is great. If you're new to soundbars as I am, its a perfect entry level and great value for money....and it's Bose....you can't go wrong.EDIT... after a few days use, I'm still delighted on the dialogue improvement, and the fact that the background music is exactly that, quiet in the background. But, after a few days use, and this is just my preference, I'm finding the bass a bit too much, I've tried many times to turn it right down, to no avail. I really can't stand that deep thrumming bass sound, never have, so this is the 1 niggle that is spoiling this soundbar experience for me. So if like me you don't like a deep bass, this might not be for you. I'm already thinking of upgrading, but can't afford it yet! Apart from the bass problem, I still like the product, but as most Netflix/TV programmes/films have a ton of music playing constantly during the programme, its annoying with the heavy bass. I just hope its not annoying the neighbours! BTW, the Bluetooth connections to my laptop and phone were a doddle, and I love listening to my music without having to confine them to a set of speakers. So to sum up, love the product, hate the bass!
5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant for the price
Old soundboard gave up and we were looking for a while for Another. Came across this on special offer, so took the plunge. Arrived very quickly packaging from Bose even looks expensive. Easy to set up, we did find that the sound through the TV remote was average.. and if we upped the bose, we could then increase it more on the TV one which was frustrating. Then we changed the optical cable so it went from the TV to the Bose ( before it went from the Bose to the Freesat) straight away HUGE difference in quality, no longer need 2 controls, sounds great, doesn't switch off after 5 minutes like our old one, looks very smart and understated. Very very happy with it....
4.0 out of 5 stars It works, good sound if you don't have weak tv speakers
This was on offer for £149. It's a good speaker and a definite improvement for our 1 year old LG tv. The instruction booklet has basic info to get started but the other instructions need to be downloaded from the website. What I like is the ease of set up,it comes with an optical cable and wall mounting bracket. But what I didn't like is the reliance of the lights on the unit to show you the bass levels. Also is the lack of flexibility in being able to adjust settings. This unit overrides the tv setting so you can't adjust treble or bass or anything else. So in effect the only thing you can have is bass mode or dialogue enhancer. You can adjust the bass and not anything else. The bass for me is too powerful even when off but others may like that. For me I only need this to enhance sound while watching tv and catching those quiet dialogues. It's also not currently not connectable to the Bose app - but I didn't buy it for this. For a tv speaker it does it job but to me it's not outstanding- the lack of being able to adjust settings is disappointing.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great soundbar
This is a small soundbar but so well designed and its performance is great. Sits neatly below my TV and connects to TV easily. The bluetooth connectability makes it easily connectable to phones also. The sound out is very clear and, using the small remote, can have added bass and treble which adds to the joy of watching movies.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good for the price
This is a reasonably priced soundbar that offers improvement over the tv sound. Of course it does depend on the sound quality being transmitted but dose nonetheless improves it. For the price, would recommend it.
5.0 out of 5 stars So easy to use, you can hear quality.
Replacing a different sound bar. The difference between the other sound bars I have had is really different, I have only had below £100.00 ones before and the difference between them is enormous, the sound is good as soon as it start, there is no faffing about trying to get a half decent sound that you can hear with the music and the speech, it is just there with the Bose, the only adjustment I have needed is for the volume. It connects to my phone so I can listen to my music while doing things around the house.I can recommend the Bose Sound Bar fully A++++
5.0 out of 5 stars Certainly helps clarify voices
I'm struggling with my hearing - it's obviously an age thing! Yes, I have hearing aids, but they were still 'fuzzy' when watching TV. I have several pieces of Bose kit, and like & trust the make. This sound bar fitted the need perfectly. I know there are better sound bars for sale, even from Bose, but it's the voice clarity option that appealed, and was most satisfactory - especially for the price. Instructions could be clearer, and it's strange having to reduce the tv sound to zero & just use the sound bar control (which is a bit fiddly at first, but I got used to it quickly), but overall I'm very pleased with it to do the job I wanted.
5.0 out of 5 stars Well happy

Ottimo impianto
