This is not the sort of gift for an average child, but might be a good way to introduce them into the tech world of programming, so it is better for older kids.There is a lot you can do with the kit, and you can assemble the car, but without the Microbit board, you will not be able to do much with it.I haven't assembled it myself yet, as it was a bit more advanced than I was expecting, and so it will be a project for a rainy day, but I think if you are going to buy it for somebody, then if they don't already have the Microbit board, see if you can stretch to buying both.
