I am already the proud owner of a bald head and have been for the last forty years, so the headline use of this shaver is somewhat redundant in my case. I was hoping it would work equally well on my beard, but on reading the instructions I found it wasn’t recommended for facial hair (top of page 5); something I only found out after I got it!.The fact that it is waterproof appealed as it meant the shaver could be rinsed under the tap and be used in the shower, with foam if necessary.I also liked the idea of a shaving head with five cutters, my old shaver only has three, so this was potentially much quicker.To test the shaver I grew my beard for a couple of days so it would have something to go at. The results were OK, but I didn’t get as close a shave as I was used to with my existing shaver. I have always used electric shavers so I know what to expect. Perhaps it is optimised for scalp shaving and not face shaving as the instructions suggest.Cleaning the shaver can be done under a running tap and this is made easy by all five cutting heads being removable together. There is no catch, or push button, you simply prise off the head assembly with your finger nails.The shaver has an internal battery that is charged with the supplied mains power supply that has a standard two-pin plug for a shaver socket. A red light shows when it needs charging and a green light shows it is being charged. It can’t be used when connected to the power supply, probably for safety reasons.The kit is supplied in a nicely illustrated cardboard box along with the power supply, instructions and a soft zippered storage pouch to keep everything together.I note in the listing that replacement heads are available. I expect the original heads will last a long time if cared for and there is a shield to protect them, but it is nice to know spares are available and is one advantage of getting a reputable brand such as Remington.

This is an excellent quality, brand name head shaver that has been an absolute godsend for me and my bonce! I've been on the balder side since the age of 18 and this has been great to keep my hair down.The shaver has excellent build quality and is easy to clean. It's very comfortable to use, even with a dry head, and works well to cut hair and leaves it almost as short as a £10 trip to my barbers. Five uses and it's paid for itself!Love this bit of kit and it has become a mainstay in my haircare arsenal. Recommended.

Having a receding hairline at an early age is a predicament for any man. In todays age there's no stigma in being bald and in fact some choose to shave off a full head of hair! This head shaver from Remington is the perfect tool for the job. I've had one of these before, so it was great to get a new replacement as it's always performed well. It's easy to use and shaves your head down to the skin effectively and without any issues. It's also easy to clean and a charge lasts around a week if you're shaving once a day. Overall I've been very please with this Remington product and you can also source aftermarket replaceable heads for it to keep it in good operation. Just a couple of minor negatives. It still uses a two pin plug to charge. I have no idea why as it's not something you'd plug in and use in the bathroom as it's meant to be used wirelessly, so surely USB or a standard plug would be preferable. Also, the carry case is twice the size it used to be, again not sure why, the compact case was much better suited. Maybe to fit the charging cable. Also note that this is a head shave, not a beard shaver. I saw someone on here review it and say it's better for your head, well obviously it is, it's a head shaver!!! Recommended product for shaving your head.

This head shaver works very well. I found that it worked very quickly, and trapped all the loose hair extremely well, and was easy to clean out.It's not perfect though, because there are a lot of unbranded equivalents to this on Bolo which work equally as well but have better features.For instance, this uses a bespoke power adapter, which means if it ever breaks or gets lost then you can no longer use the shaver, but most of the unbranded ones I see on Bolo now, use USB-C which is universal.This also has no LED display, so it's not possible to see how much charge it has left. It only has a low battery indicator that will light up when the battery is nearly running out.The foil shaver part also seems to just snap on/off, whereas most unbranded ones use magnets, which is a much better solution.
