My daughter loved it from the beginning, but discovering that there was another light underneath the lid was a bit of a challenge for me. At first, I thought the remote was for the wired light, but after eventually assembling everything, it all worked fine.

Had to buy x4 CR 2032 and x2 CR 2025 as neither product worked. Remotes work on the same frequency so my 2 argue and can't have them in the same room. One remote operates both lamps. Good engagement making the terrarium but expensive after buying batteries and the remote issue!

This kit is great, comes with lots of contents and a great activity for the holidays or a weekend! Use as a nightlight as you have the handy remote control, it looks great and you can rearrange the items or add your own. It is easy to put together and reasonable value for money considering the use you get out of it.

Wow this is a fantastic little gift, A beautiful little terrarium that lights up with everything you need to create a fantastic little scene inside it.It comes with lots and lots of bags of gems and sand, Little bags of greenery that can be added to make foliage and stones to help create a landscape.You get a Volcano put in the middle and various dinosaurs to add if you want, equally you could add any little miniatures that you have such as fairies or people.I think we'll be turning this into a fairy scene, My four year old granddaughter loves fairies and this will be made as her nightlight for her bedroom.It comes with different lights to go inside it which can be controlled using a remote control which lets you alter the brightness, Colour and the timer.This is such a clever little kit, It encourages creativity so you can build it how you want. If you don't like what you've built just empty it out and rebuild it as nothing is glued in and all the items are reusable.I like getting my grandchildren toys that encourage their creative mind, I think it's very important for them, and toys like this tick every box for me.Not only do they get the enjoyment of building a scene and using that creativity, But they also have something functional at the end of it that they can keep and use, Which I believe encourages them to be more creative with things in the future because they want that reward again.All the items seem good quality, The terrarium is plastic not glass so no worries about anything dangerous, and it has a handy carry handle for moving it around the room.I think this is really good value for money, You can potentially get years of use out of it, And all the components can be used again in other projects if you stop using it as a nightlight.
