5.0 out of 5 stars Well packed, easy to use, solid build
The wireless keyboard and mouse from the ProtoArc Store came well-packed. They have a solid build and are connected instantly to my MacBook via Bluetooth. Both the items are highly responsive and work as advertised. The keyboard is quite slim and easy to use. The keys are comfortable to press and I love the silver-white color too. Additionally, the battery life is reasonable. Overall, this is a well-made product. Recommended
3.0 out of 5 stars Ultra slim, ultra plasticky, ultra flexible
I’ve had multiple products from protoarc and have a very favourable view of them so far. This ultra slim set is admittedly very slim but does mean it flexes very easily if not used on a flat surface. It looks good but up close you can see it’s silver coloured plastic and does allow a bit of light bleed through when the backlit keys are on. It’s especially evident with steep angles and high brightness. It says it’s for Mac only but I had no problems using it on windows 11. The Bluetooth switching is very fast and great for power users. Once paired the power LED will function as a caps lock indicator as the caps lock button has no LED indicator on itIt’s difficult as I like the keyboard and it works well but it feels a little flimsy and cheap looking up close due to the plastic used.
I like this better than the Mac aluminum keyboard it replaced
this sturdy combo is very nice. I'm an IT guy so I see lots of products ofr PCs and this hands down is the best value for a standard keyboard mouse let alone something that lights up, bluetooth and works with up to 3 devices and is rechargeable and compact. The keyboard feels like a tank it's very durable and has weight to it that keeps it steady on the desk and comes with a very cool silicone protector (I didn't know I was going to like this feature so much but I do. Mouse is slim and responsive, flatter than most but I already love it. I bought this for home and I wish I would have seen this before buying a very expensive Logitech MK850 for my office for $80 only for the 3 device support, it does none of the rest of the things in this description! Awesome job ProtoArc!!
Between Pebble 2 and ProtoArc it's ProtoArc Hands down
The media could not be loaded. After a few hours of research I decided to purchase the pebble 2 mouse combo and needless to say I wasn’t impressed. Took a chance and ordered this ProtoArc one and it is perfect. Before the kiddos go back to school and I have to go back to work I wanted to set up the home office to be a bit more ergonomic. I have a MacPro and and iPad Pro. Switching between apps to using split screens is a pin in the arse so having multiple screens up and ready makes me more productive. The DetailsKeyboardIt is seamless switching between the two screens. Any lag, if there is one is not noticeable by me. I am just the average user, business owner with a hundred and one kids so efficiency and time are important. So is the cost which was $30.00 cheaper. The keys are little bit higher than the MacBook and a little harder to press. I actually like that because I type fast and when I travel to the next key I don't accidentally hit one I don't want. I am sure in time they will loosen up a bit from use and the mechanics of it. Build quality was as expected for the price. I am not complaining. Setup couldn't be easier approximately 1 min for both devices lol. I like it and I am going to return the other one.The MouseWhen I first started using it I was thinking holy crap this is super sensitive. One slight touch and my pointer was flying all over the place. So I opened up the instructions and that orange button on the top of it is a DPI (I was like wtf is a DPI switch? and had to google it). After I adjusted the DPI settings by pressing the button it more resembled the track pad I am used to. It's a basic mouse and gets the job done for me. The scroller roller works well but super sensitive. I think I just need to get used to that.Battery lifeI will up date this at a later time. It came from the box with a charge and I just started using it. Haven't go so far as to track time in real boring life use.OverallLove the keyboard. Mouse is ok but and I haven't used a mouse in 17 years so don't take my word for it on that one I have no comparisons. I'm a track pad kinda girl. I am going to get the travel folding keyboard that is how much I like.Enough said have a great day
Works well but energy saving is a pain in the as....
Works well but energy saving is a pain in the as...., you have to click or type a character - I don't know 5-10 times - before it wakes up. Other than that it works very well.
Very comfortable, quiet keyboard and solid feeling mouse
My Logitech wireless keyboard and Magic Trackpad both died within a few weeks of each other, and this set was highly rated. The keyboard feels really good, and I generally prefer a low-profile key stroke with a solid feel, and this keyboard feels just right and allows me to type long passages quickly without the fatigue you get from longer sessions with a long-stroke, heavy-button, mechanical keyboard. The backlighting is really nice, as I often work at night or in low light. The ability to switch between three devices at the click of a button is really nice, too. The only complaint I have is that I’d like to be able to raise the back side of the keyboard a bit more, and all of my other wireless keyboards have legs or some sort of height adjustment, but this one has nothing. The case is slightly taller on the backside, but it’s not adjustable. It has sharp edges, which is similar in design to my MBP, but can feel slightly rough. The mouse has a low profile, two buttons, and a very smooth roller wheel. I used a track pad and a Magic Trackpad for years, but I use a two button mouse when I work on a PC, and I’m grudgingly going to concede that a mouse is more efficient, particularly when working with data in Excel or a similar format, as well as selecting a lot of items when working with large numbers of files or items in a large window. Anyway, very smooth, and it feels much higher end than the price point would suggest.
Pleasant Surprise!
What a pleasant surprise! Easily switches between devices which was my main reason for purchase. The backlight is bright.Great value for money.
