5.0 out of 5 stars Leadjoy H1 Magnetic Phone Cooler for Gaming
I was skeptical about this when I picked it up. I thought it would just be a simple fan and didn't think it would provide much cooling. This device gets so cold it starts to produce condensation. It certainly does a good job of cooling your phone down when it gets warm.Very reasonably priced too. This is required to be plugged into power as well to operate and doesn't have a built in battery.
4.0 out of 5 stars Leadjoy Magnetic Phone Cooler
This product was sent to me for review, as part of Bolo Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it.In terms of quality, it appears to have been well made - the construction is robust, with a sleek finish. I did feel that it was a little 'bulkier' than I would have liked, but, it doesn't make the phone any heavier to hold. You could easily pop it away in a bag, making it ideal for gaming on the go.I didn't initially realise that the fan requires a cable, so that makes setting it up a little clunky, since you need a power source close to hand. I would maybe recommend using a power bank to maintain some form of portability. As for its effectiveness, within a minute or two of use, the back of the fan itself felt pretty cold, which I'm sure will provide benefits to the phone it is being used with (I had no issues when attaching it to my iPhone 15 Pro Max, which I tested whilst running my favourite online RPG). It also has a super-quiet operation - I quite literally had to hold it up to my ear, to actually hear the fan, as at first, I wasn't actually sure if it was working - it really was that quiet. In summary, a useful and good value item.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great little device
In a nutshell:Things I liked:+ Quickly and noticeably reduces phone temperature during demanding tasks like gaming. By reducing the temps, you will increase the time before thermal throttling needs to take place, resulting in improved performance+ Pretty quiet. You can notice it if you're listening out for it, but if you're not listening out for it, it's absolutely not noticeable.+ Easy to attach especially via MagSafe and stays securely in place without adding significant bulk to the phone.+ Compact enough to carry around, making it suitable for mobile gaming.+ £20 seems perfectly reasonable for a product of this quality.Things I didn't like:- Wish it had a battery! Totally negates the portability of the device because you have to plug it in! You can plug it into an external battery, but it's still far more unwieldy that it needs to be.Do I recommend it?Yes. It's a really great little device and if you can make your peace with the fact that it has to be constantly plugged in, it's like nothing else!

5.0 out of 5 stars Who knew?
I had no idea they even made gadgets like this for a mobile phone. I became a convert to using an external fan with my laptop a couple of summers ago. It didn’t even cross my mind I could buy something to do the same job for my phone. well, this Leadjoy H1 magnetic cooler was a revelation to me. I’m one of those people who likes to buy a reconditioned phone rather than a brand new one and 90 percent of the time it is great but sadly add in the latest OS and graphics heavy games - or even video and photo capture and sometimes it all starts to creak. Popping this cooling device onto the magsafe plate and there is an obvious cooling effect which in turn obviously improves sluggish responses and overall performance. It’s a super bit of kit and compact to add on to your kit. The only down side is it can’t be used out and about as it needs a wired power source. It did see me through a tedious six hour train journey in last week’s heatwave though as I could plug it in beside the seat. Five stars.
Keeps iPhone 12 mini cool
This device keeps my iPhone 12 mini cool and prevents overheat protections from kicking in.My iPhone 12 mini is one of Apple's smaller form factor phones that overheats with continuous use - like web browsing where the screen doesn't have a change to turn off after 5-10 minutes. Then the screen will dim in overheat protection, effectively rendering it useless. The processor and wireless connections also slow down. This cooler connects securely to my phone via Magsafe and uses a Peltier cooler with a heat sink to actually make the back of the phone cold. Heat conducts through the phone back and is dissipated by the fan. There are buttons to adjust the device from "off" to low, medium, and high. On low, my iPhone does get worm but has yet to enter overheat protection. On high, the front of the screen (even with continuous use) starts to get cool to touch. My iPhone has never been so cool. One aspect to be aware of is power supply. The medium and high settings are only available if connected to a 30 Watt power supply or better. If connected to anything that isn't rated to that power, then the only settings available are "off" and "low."
Needs to be powered, but cools like you won't believe!
First of all, it is a wired device. it does not have batteries and it draws quite the power, so it is probably not very good in terms of mobility unless you have a power bank with a high capacity or available USB ports for power (such as in a car). But the way it performs is incredible. I thought of it as a simple fan, and it is definitely way beyond that. I would almost take it apart to see how it does so much cooling. It feels like a small refrigerator on your device. It hangs on to its place by magnetic connection, so you can easily use it with phones that have MagSafe, or any device that you can stick a metal ring on. I have a Samsung phone and I had already a metal ring on its back, so I just simply put this on and held on perfectly. Note that I did not try its magnetic attachment over a case, but if you need the performance of such a device, you probably would not want to attach it over a case either. The piece seems quite sturdy and durable. It does not feel large or heavy on its own, but when you attach it to a mobile phone, it does add a noticeable weight and volume. Its look is quite modern. There are only two buttons to operate, but since it works so silently, you can't get a hang of it at what speed it is working or even if it is working. The lightest speed is so silent, I had to check under a light if the fan inside was turning.Overall, I am impressed with it. It is an incredibly functional piece of equipment if you need serious cooling for your device. Despite its small size, it works incredibly well beyond a fan. The price of $35 CAD at the time of writing is quite high if you just want a simple fan. But it is definitely worth it if you need a highly functional cooling system for your device. Its need of a power connection might seem awkward for mobile devices, but its performance requires that power, and if you really need this device, you will definitely appreciate that it uses external power instead of a battery which would both add to its size and weight and decrease its runtime. I recommend it for those who need serious cooling performance from a small sized device.
Life saver for a streamer.
I have a small stream and during summer, I had to segment my live stream due to phone overheating. By chance I came across this fan and I liked it first of all because no RGB. It runs silently and with small battery back it can run up to 7 hrs and I haven't experienced over heating issue since. Highly recommend this fan. Price/size/no RGB was selling point for me.
Fairly decent [phone] cooling fan, effective for small devices, not limited to phones, bit pricey
This is a fairly decent [phone] cooling fan that works surprisingly well for small devices where limited amount of heat is generated in a moderately confined area and cell phones certainly fits the bill and so are those Android TV boxes and other devices such as wireless HDMI adapters (especially the mini/smaller sized ones) that could get fairly hot during high load.≡ Physical buildThe physical build quality of the fan itself appears decent without visible defects. A metal plate with adhesive is also included that can be attached to the phone so that the phone can be magnetically attached to the fan without built-in magnets. The magnet resembles the shape of the typical circular pattern of MagSafe and is compatible with it for the most part. Of course, you can also use the adhesive to attach it to the back of your phone/device instead. Unfortunately, this does NOT come with a clamp/clip that some others have which would allow this to be attached without the use of the metal plate.≡ Power consumptionIt draws about 1.0-1.5A (@9V) current which is higher than what USB 2.0 (0.5A) or even USB 3.0 (0.9A) could provide so this should NOT be plugged into an ordinary USB ports on a computer/laptop or the ports might be permanently burned and damages. It's recommended that a 9V/3A charger is used (from the manual) which I tend to agree, or at least something that's capable of at least 9V/2A should be used instead.≡ Digital display and/or [RGB] lightsWell, it has none of it and that's a bit of a bummer. I don't care much for the LED lights but a digital display is very helpful to show the surface temperature. I hope a new model would have that feature. The fan is moderately loud and it doesn't bother me much but it is audible with minimal background noise at a distance of 30 cm (1 ft).I ran the test for about 3 hrs as I've done so for other phone/tablet cooling fans of similar design and style that I've across, and the findings are listed below;###CPU: 60°C: no loadCPU: 77°C: playing 4K video for 15minCPU: 70°C: 15 min after attaching this cooling fanCPU: 64°C: 20 min afterCPU: 65°C: 30 min afterCPU: 63°C: 40 min afterCPU: 60°C: 50 min afterCPU: 59°C: 60 min afterCPU: 63°C: 70 min afterCPU: 61°C: 80 min after (mean [lowest] temperature during video play)CPU: 62°C: 90 min afterCPU: 55°C: 10 min after stopping video playCPU: 51°C: 15 min after (idle)CPU: 50°C: 20 min after (idle)CPU: 47°C: 25 min after (idle)CPU: 45°C: 30 min after (idle, lowest when idle)CPU: 46°C: 35 min after (idle)###✘ Note that the lowest temperature measured shown in the pictures is when they are NOT attached to any devices. Also keep in mind that how much it can actually lower the temperature of your device really depend on quite a factors and at a minimum this MUST be directly attached to the back of the device to be effective (at all); attaching this to a phone case would NOT do much (if anything) to lower the temperature.≡ ResultIt lowers the temperature by 16°C (77°C to 61°C) during high load and 14°C (60°C to 46°C) when it's idling. Not too bad at all but it's not as good as some others that I've come across and tested although they do cost more and larger in size as well.≡ ValueAll things considered, this is a fairly decent mobile/portable cooling fan that works surprisingly well given the circumstances; however, it's a bit pricey at $35 given its size and heat dissipation capabilities (and the fact that it does NOT have a LED digital display and/or a C-clamp bracket that some others have). I'd like to see this around $25-$30 and perhaps a larger version that's $35-$40 for larger devices. Your mileage might vary.
The Ultimate Semiconductor Cooler
Earlier this summer while covering a live event in an uninsulated building with no ventilation & with temperatures reaching as high as 34+C the Leadjoy H1 magnetic cooler saved my live broadcast. Without the Leadjoy cooler my phone would've fried & my live broadcast could not have gone forward. I also used the cooler on my ham radio which tends to run quite hot despite having a built in fan. I'm amazed by Leadjoy H1 semiconductor cooler's ultra quiet performance with 3 operating speeds & recommend it to anyone who needs to cool down their small form factor equipment & which prevents them from overheating.
