4.0 out of 5 stars Nice White Wireless Keyboard...
I saw this product was up for review, and having a backup keyboard is always good, while I am not a fan of wireless keyboards for security reasons I did need a spare keyboard. Not sure on the colour scheme of the key caps, I would of just kept them all white.I did some tests on the communication to and from the keyboard and computers that I tested it on.And I did notice that the keyboard while it still worked, but it stopped receiving interrupts from the computer after several seconds. And although I prefer the clunky mechanical keys on a keyboard the actual keys felt strange, they were ok while typing. The box says that its operating from 2 AAA Batteries, sadly there is no flap to replace those, so you are relying on them building these keyboards with a good quality battery pack inside. It seems that they have used a stuck down a 3.7V battery pack rated at 350mAh while that "should" be ok for a Keyboard depending on how much you are typing on it. But nothing stopping us from replacing it at a later date for a more higher rated 3.7V battery pack of the same dimensions.Overall I like this keyboard, it did have some misleading information on the box, plus if you have to use the USB-C cable to charge the battery for "uninterrupted usage" (their words) then you might as well get a wired keyboard. With all the above (colour scheme, battery pack rating) and my few hours of using it I give this product a 4 of 5 stars.
5.0 out of 5 stars 2.4GHz non-Bluetooth wireless keyboard
This seems to be a pretty reasonable keyboard, I've used laptops with worse. It uses a small pre-paired USB receiver rather than Bluetooth, so no pairing required; just plug in the receiver and switch the keyboard on.Four LED indicators above the numeric keypad indicate, in order:-Charging (red charging, green full)Num Lock (green)Caps Lock (green)Scroll Lock (green), receiver not detected (flashing red)Battery life seems pretty good, the keyboard will automatically go to sleep after a period of inactivity, at which point the Num Lock, Caps Lock and Scroll Lock LEDs will all go off (if they were on in the first place). Pressing any key will wake it back up, and that keystroke gets transmitted as though the keyboard was awake all along.Current consumption seems to be about 350mA at most, so it should be fine to charge on low-current supplies such as the front panel USB ports on tower or rackmount servers. It comes with a charge-only USB-A to USB-C cable for the task, and the port at the rear of the keyboard is also charge-only, so you can't just plug it in with a fully-wired cable and use it as a wired keyboard. Don't lose the receiver! There's a slot at the rear of the keyboard to park it in when not in use, but this is friction fit, not magnetic. All in all it's a reasonable keyboard, but bear in mind that it's matt white plastic, and if you type with grubby fingers it won't stay white for long.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works well and has a nice feel. 2.4 Ghz only, no Bluetooth
I got this full size windows keyboard to use on an Intel NUC running Windows 10. My main computer is an iMac and I'm more used to slimline Apple Keyboard and mouse, so I’m happy it doesn’t include another mouse that I don’t need.I do have a reasonable keyboard on the PC already, but it needs a battery and the dongle also works with an associated mouse that I don't use, so I thought I'd swap it out for this one. It has its own 2.4Ghz USB-A dongle that can be stored in the keyboard when not in use. It’s a shame there’s no Bluetooth and that the dongle is USB-A only. My mouse one is reversible USB-A and USB-C., however it’s not an issue for my need and I like that the dongle is labelled so at least you can see what it’s for against other similar ones yo7 may have or use.I don’t do any gaming or multimedia stuff on the PC as it’s not my main machine, so I only really need the basic keyboard functionality. It picked up the dongle connection straight away after switching it on and worked just as it should. It has an on/off switch, which I like as I'm not always using the PC, but it will go into sleep mode after 10 mins of inactivity to save power regardless. It charges using an included USB-C to USB-A cable and came well charged. It has a complete set of keys and they're marked for both Windows and Apple use, but it looks more traditionally Windows in Layout. There's a good set of shortcut keys and function key combinations and the 4 essential indicator LEDs.The keyboard keys feel nice to use. Not clicky but not too spongy either. I'm not sure if I like the lilac colouring of the special keys, but they're OK.I tried it quickly on my iMac too and it was also recognised straight away and worked just as it should. In fact I'm using it to type this right now!I've not experienced any dropouts or problems and it works as I'd expect so I'm happy with it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Sleek and stylish
Rii RK208 2.4Ghz wireless keyboard: This is a smart looking keyboard. It is low and sleek, with almost a sci-fi look to it. If you're setting up a futuristic/minimalist desktop for your pc, this may fit in very nicely. Because of it's thin, sleek design, there is the tiniest hint of flex if you stand it up on it's back feet extensions. BUT it #]is a very tiny amount, and only noticeable if you hit the keys hard. When sitting flat on the desk there is no flex at all. It is also smaller than average for a full size keyboard - I usually look for a keyboard that is narrow from front to back, as I regularly pick it up and put it on my lap when playing pc games. This one is more suited for use on the desk though, rather than the lap - note it does not have the full size, full travel type keys. It has the flat, laptop type keys, with a 'short travel and click'. If that's the kind you are looking for, then this is a nice looking keyboard, with good definite key clicks. It's plug and play, just plug in the wireless dongle and switch the keyboard on and it works immediately - I much prefer the wireless system to Bluetooth, as there are no random disconnects that Bluetooth sometimes suffers.
