This sign is very noticeable, and set to max will still stand out even on a sunny day. This is an LED light instead of traditional neon, with the benefit of a far lower cost price, lower running cost, and no glass tubes to worry about being smashed. You can knock this light without much worry.Mine is the Horizontal version, powered from a USB plug. The lead is plenty long enough, making it possible to hide the wire behind and amongst other display items, on its way to a charger socket. One word of warning is to avoid pulling on the wires, in case it damages the connection at the rear. If it ever stops working that's the most likely cause, and chances are it's mendable.I think this sign is good looking and effective, and the increased presence it gives you will help pay for itself pretty quickly in additional footfall.

A great sign that I will be using in my haberdashery shop. It is a good size - simple in style but very effective. The outer border and wording can be set to three different brightness levels to suit. There is an on/off and brightness control on the power lead which connects by USB. It comes with a handy hanging chain and pre-drilled holes so you can choose how to display it. It's great..!

Overall I really, really love this 'OPEN' sign, it's fantastic and I've been meaning to get one for a while. Sadly, there is one thing stopping this from being a full 5 stars and it's quite noticeable.The Good:This size of the sign is great. At 16"x 9" it's a real statement. It's also very bright and it looks amazing when lit up. It practically lights up a whole room on it's own. It has several light setting modes and you can easily cycle through them with the little buttons on the on off pad with the dimmer buttons. There are 10 different modes which is good so you can find something for every mood.It just looks really good and the orange 'OPEN' against the clear acrylic looks great. You do have to peel the protective later off to get the full effect but it's easy enough to do.It's easy to install and comes with a long hanging chain. It has holes to drill it to the wall if you want to do that and make it more permanent. I appreciate that both options are covered though this will be going on my sons wall and we'll probably hang it.The wire is a decent length too so you can plug it in to any compatible space and still move it around a bit.The Bad:The outer light (the one that goes around the outside of the acrylic board) doesn't have the best join. It has an indent and isn't straight. It's quite noticeable and draws attention to the imperfection, detracting from the overall aesthetic of the design. It gives the sign a slight poorly assembled look.Also the wire is USB and you have to provide your own USB compatible plug which is slightly annoying but not insurmountable something you need to be be aware of.Still, overall I do like it and any imperfections are minor. I like this sign.

The only bad thing with this Open sign turned out to be a good thing. The wiring entering the silicone made it bulge out. Not much, but I noticed it straight away. I tried to straighten it out and as this is also where the bumper joins up it is a weak point-and it split open. That’s the bad bit. I reglued the join, straightening it at the same time. It’s now barely noticeable. That’s the good bit.Some years ago I bought a neon Open sign, slightly smaller than this, and it cost well over £100.00. It was nowhere near as well made as this inSharePlus sign. It was more expensive to run and met its end after being dropped as it was far more fragile.I’m going to need to rewire the sign, not that the wire isn’t long enough (2 metres) it’s just not long enough for where I want to put it. So I can easily sort out a small issue. When turned on from the source, although it retains its previous brightness level, the on off switch, in the wire, has to be pressed to turn the sign on. Which is a problem if you want to put the sign on a timer.Not that I’m wanting to but can the light be used outside?Yes, I have a couple of niggles but they don’t detract from this being a superb sign-or should I say superb, very bright, sign! At £32.99 it is well worth buying, ideal for welcoming your mother-in-law to your house.
