Works great holds a lot of stuff
Smaller than Expected
After reading what others have said you would think this was a full duffel bag but its about half the size of a standard duffel bag. I liked the idea of all the different compartments. However not sure what you would use the water proof pocket for, too small to put dirty clothes in. The mesh ones would be nice to say put your gloves in to let them air out or something. Definitely flimsy. You may want a piece of cardboard in the bottom of the bag to make it stiff as it is definitely not stiff and will not keep its shape once you have some gear in it then pick it up. The other reviewers that say this is roomy must not have experience with a true Duffel bag as this might make an OK overnight bag but I would find it hard to use for much more or just as a specialized Gym bag.The material seems durable enough, The bag area for your shoes is big enough to put boots in but would take up half the bag. Not sure what use the straps on the ends are for other than they are likely to try to keep the somewhat cheap material that the ends are made of from tearing apart if you have anything with any real weight to it. The bottom seems to be somewhat padded and somewhat thick but no form to it. The outside pockets are decent and the pockets are nifty. The pocket on the side opposite the bottles has a space behind it. You could probably hang a damp towel around the pocket in the back as its really only connected to the bag by the edges.Might make a better beach bag than gym bag. We shall see what I decide to use it for. I was a bit disappointed in its size and guess you get what you pay for durability wise. I liked the different pockets to try to separate some of my workout equipment from the clothing but not sure that really will be possible as most are under sized and definitely nowhere to put dirty clothes that are all sweaty. Maybe put the shirt and underwear in the "water proof bag". If you take this to the gym 3 days a week you will likely be replacing it yearly where as my Under-armor bag has lasted me years.
Good Quality Construction NOT a backpack
Feels like good quality construction. I like the choice of material on the outside, some sort of canvas. It feels like it would lend its self well to keeping clean, some materials are just dirt/dust magnets; but not this one. This is since it's for my teen son for camping trips, and on his work trips (he works as a mechanic) The neoprene outer pockets are cool, would be ok to store a water bottle or cell phone for easy access but those pockets are pretty loose and not secure so don't put valuables in them when in public or toss the bag around and not expect small items to dump out. The other outer and inner pockets are zippered. The zippers seem sturdy enough but the pulls could be a little bigger, I had to fish around to find the zippers and my hands are smaller than the guys'. The bag has plenty of room and you can get an average sized pair of men's gym shoes in the bottom compartment without too much fuss, although I wouldn't say it's easy. The only issue is the straps. They are just weird. The design doesn't really follow with the "comfort style" over one shoulder style. They are too wide apart to stay on your shoulders to use as a traditional backpack. My 5'9" model said they felt like they were falling off his shoulders and the bag, even with nothing in it, looks absolutely ridiculous as a back pack. The padded portion of the straps also was not long enough to use cross body style. The straps could be adjusted longer but the padded portion does not fall over the shoulder when adjusted longer. See picture where the toggles meet right at the neck line, a big discomfort if there's any weight in the bag. Since he's not going to be carrying the bag for long distances this isn't a deal breaker, just carry it "normal" with one hand on the side; although again the padding hits at an odd place and feels jumble in your hand. Designers just trying to be too versatile with the design and missed the mark all together.Over all, I like the look, pockets, and quality of the bag (except for those straps!) At the price point of $25 it is at the higher end of bags in its category but still not a bad value.
Great bag for the gym and other uses
This bag has proven to be exceptionally durable and has performed admirably in daily use. The integrated dirty cloths bin is particularly noteworthy, as it effectively maintains the cleanliness of the clean clothes compartment.
Much larger than expected, very spacious with good organization
This duffel bag is way bigger than I expected, so I probably won't end up using it as a gym bag because I don't need that much stuff for a normal day at the gym. However, it WILL be great as a weekend travel bag.. honestly I might even be able to pack a week's worth of clothes because it's so spacious. The interior organization is great, and I appreciate that there's internal organization in addition to the external zippered pockets. Some duffel bags I've owned previously have absolutely no pockets or pouches inside the main compartment, which makes it really annoying to find any smaller items when you have more than one or two things in there.Having said all that, I think my favorite feature is the backpack-style straps which allows you to carry it on your back or by hand. I'm interested to see if I can connect a shoulder-carry style strap to it somehow...I haven't had a chance to test out the waterproof claim just yet, since it hasn't rained where I live in a bit. I don't expect it to be totally waterproof, since even with excellent waterproof material, water can seep in through the zippers. But I also don't need it to be, I'm not planning on taking it on a boat or anything like that, just some water repellant/resistant properties should be plenty for unexpected rain.
