I really want to like these pot and pan set but do have mixed feelings.The design, construction and materials are good.The frying pan has been fantastic, as good as my previous non stick pan and a delight to use.The saucepan however has been irritating me. Cooking a small portion of penne pasta I noticed that the water took longer to bring to the boil, the penne took almost 6 minutes longer to cook and stuck to the bottom of the pan? The same with spaghetti?On the second occasion I used it to cook the tomato sauce instead of the pasta. The reduction of the sauce wasn't as with my other pots and it just didn't boil off enough content. The lid fits well but with the pasta's and the sauce or anything boiled, it causes it to bubble over every time. 🤦🏻As for cleaning..... Well the frying pan is a doddle, it's only had oil or butter in it.The saucepan however became stained from the tomato puree sauce, I sponge washed it by hand, I then put it in the dishwasher, from which it came out a 50% better, i then sponge washed it again by hand straight out of the dishwasher and have managed to remove around 90% of the discolouration.The pot and casserole don't have pour lips and neither do the lids, so draining off water etc using the lid to retain the food isn't ideal, the lip on the lids actually holds some liquid back.So in all fairness the frying pan has become my "go to" pan whilst the casserole and pot are rarely used as I favour my old ones for cooking, the saucepan has been demoted to gravy saucepan, in this capacity it has been great, no lumpy gravy, no sticking and no skin.Fortunately I received this set through Vine so I have not had any financial loss, but had I purchased them then I would have been disappointed.
