I have travelled with one of these for many years and I wouldn't be without one now, we all fight over the one we have. This is easily inflatable and takes up very little space in hand luggage (approx. Size of a small bum bag). It inflates quite easily and the best thing is that for safety, it can deflate in seconds. There is a large plug on the side you just push your fingers in and whoosh the air is out. It is a little scratchy at the joints but take a small flannel to cushion you more if needed. I honestly can't recommend these enough.

So the product is a great design, there's just one small problem I don't like. The inflation cap end isn't all that secure it could do with a O ring or a different design to stop it from wanting to come off.

Great travel pillow for a good price.Very easy to inflat is, super lighweight and comfy.Great to use it for place, car, bus or train.Easy to inflat it, takes just couple of seconds.Very happy with the product quality.So surely can recommend it to all.

Having recently taken a long haul flight I was surprised at just how uncomfortable it was, despite being in Premium Economy and I guess advancing age doesn't help in keeping the old body free of aches and pains. So when this travel pillow by Maliton appeared on Vine I leapt on it.It arrived in small bag which disguises the size of the pillow quite well. Took the pillow out and unfolded it, and this thing was bigger than expected. The gumph says that it can be inflated in as little as 5 seconds, but I'm assuming that this timing is with some sort of inflation device rather than human lungs.Once inflated and with your head on it in different positions it is actually a bit comfortable, not as comfortable as lying on a king sized bed with Egyptian cotton bedding, but somewhere between that and a bare concrete floor is where this product lies, as, although comfortable, the material used doesn't feel soft on the face, etc.Also once inflated this thing is massive, so on a plane, in economy I'm not sure how you'll fare given the lack of space you have in that class of travel.Deflating is fine for the bulk of the air inside, but I did have to fiddle about and squeeze and stand on the thing to get the rest of the air out so I could begin to fold it back into the bag.Anyway, I was telling my cousin about this (she's a travel agent) and she said "I hope you didn't spend too much on it", when I asked why, she told me that a lot of airlines do not allow these on flights and will insist/demand you deflate it. Apparently you may even have them taken off you too!The company who make this also states you should check with your airline first to see if they allow use of these pillows. Shame.So perhaps these pillows might be better on longer journeys by road or rail if there is a risk that airlines will not allow them to be used in-flight.

I do like the idea of this for travelling but the truth of the matter is, it’s just a little too bulky for my liking when fully inflated. There are also limited ways in which it can be used comfortably with your face into the hole in the top being pretty much the only position you can adopt comfortably. For me it is a good idea but could be doing will being a little smaller and have a lying more down type position as well as face plant into hole style position.

A few months ago we flew budget airline to Europe; it was a very early flight and including the 3 hour wait to board I was very very tired; had a middle seat so could not rest against a window, and at over 6 feet tall there was no comfortable position to nod off. I ended up resting my elbows on the drop down table with a jumper for my face to rest on top of my hands - I got negligible sleep.So this product and thought - brilliant - that is exactly what I need; so I got one and packed it for my next trip.It comes in its own little travel bag with a drawstring and packs up small enough to go in hand luggage. When you initially open it - it looks like a screwed up deflated life jacket (see photos).It has a large hole to blow it up (see photo) it takes quite a bit to blow up (but easy time if you are stuck on a 3 hour flight) - actually it is a lot easier to deflate than inflate. I didnt get it as fully inflated as the description shows (see photos) but it was probably 80/90% inflated.So I used it on my recent flight to Italy and it was really comfy - the design means you can use it in various positions - I found that resting it on the drop down table and putting my face in the hole (a bit like a massage table) worked for me and I soon nodded off (albeit a slightly wrinkled face when I woke up but I will take that any day instead of no sleep).If only they could include a better way of inflating this it would be 100% perfect, but in the meantime I definitely recommend it if you are not flying first/business class.

This travel pillow is made of a very nice, durable, velvet-type feel and is very comfortable to rest on, no irritation to my skin.I was surprised how big it was once inflated - and inflation is via a large valve that you need to breath into as opposed to using a pump, but as the valve is large, it only took several “puffs” to fully inflate.I found this inflatable pillow to be very comfortable using it on the bad while sitting up watching the TV that is fitted to the wall. I can also see that it will be comfortable for passengers while resting in the car, but I personally feel that it is too large for using on an aeroplane - that said, when it is deflated, it folds down very well and fits into a small bag !This is very nice quality and very comfortable, for some a pump type valve may be preferable, for most this is ok. Usage is versatile and it’s a very good addition to the house or for various modes of travel, as the quality is great, it should also be long lasting.
my poor, poor children
So I've been intrigued by pillows of this design since they first hit the market, but I couldn't quite bring myself to buy one. "If I traveled more" I said to myself. Well, I have a long flight coming up and saw this advertised and figured I *had* to try it at this price ($16 at time of purchase) and WOW. This is such a game changer. First, the basics: this is very easy to inflate--you definitely can do it on a plane without any sort of pump. It's nice and soft. You can adjust the stiffness of the pillow, obviously, by inflating and deflating--I find that if it's a little underinflated I can easily rest my head to the side, so looking to the left or right rather than into the middle of the pillow. I like all positions, but I am just mentioned that here because it's nice to have a little versatility of neck positions. You can watch tv or use your device inside the pillow. The inflation valve is actually stunningly awesome. It's really easy to inflate and deflate and is a tiny engineering marvel. The whole things packs down *pretty* small, though it's not teensy. You can get away with hanging it from your luggage, though, probably, and explain at the gate that it's a pillow. (It comes in a storage bag.) This is such a travel gamechanger and I am going to be That Woman using it on planes, embarrassing everyone around me but so, so comfortable and well rested. Worth Every Penny.

Excellent alternative to a neck pillow!!
I used it for a long 14-hour flight, and the pillow was great. It was very quick and easy to inflate and deflate. Compared to a neck pillow this provided way better comfort and support. Only negative is the size. Luckily we flew Qatar airways which has good space between seats but if this was another airline the pillow may have been too bulky to use.HIghly recommend it
Surprisingly Comfortable
I got this pillow for a plane trip I took, and it worked surprisingly well! Whenever I tried to sleep on a plane with my head back or tilted onto the wall, I wouldn't get very good sleep and/or I'd have an ache in my neck afterwards - but after sleeping on this, I had no such problems!The material is very soft - it has sort of a velvety-feel. It is very comfortable to rest my head on and sleep.It's also very quick and easy to inflate - just 4 or 5 large breaths to full inflation. Deflating was a little bit trick - make sure you use the 'divot' on the plug to pull it out of the hole, so that the air can escape freely.The only quibble I would make about this item is that once you inflate/deflate it, it's almost impossible to roll/fold/squish back up so that it's small enough to put it back into the bag that it comes in.
