    Nakamichi is one of THE brands for audio cables. By extension I wanted to give these banana plugs a try. Honestly there is not a whole lot to differentiate banana plugs other than how easy it it to secure the wire to them. With these you insert the wire through the bottom part and then fan out the wire around the tube then screw on the tip part. No screwdriver or soldering needed. Traditionally labeled Red and White for Right and Left respectively are clearly present. I have used Banana plugs on many systems and always thought the basics were good enough. And that is mostly true, but these have a nicer feeling outer casing which I feel shows attention to detail and care of product. Again this is THE company for wires. You will like these.

    The first thing I noticed about Nakamich banana plugs was the weight. They are heavy. I had some new gold plated lug speaker plugs I just got and compared weight. The Nakamichis sees 17 milligrams, the other brand was 11 milligrams. Big difference. Also, the barrel of the Nakamichi is non conductive If you don't know, speaker cables are grounded by another cable, not by an outer conductor. It is grounded by the cable usually attached along the length of the speaker cable. If something metallic falls across the two banana plugs, it will short it out. That can damage your equipment.I got two pair of these banana plugs to try out. I will be buying more because I think they will last.

    Die Bananenstecker der Firma Nakamichi habe ich bestellt,da ich die Firma seit Mitte der 80 ger bedingt durch das Dragon kenne,eine Tapedeck Legende.Die Stecker kommen gut verpackt und gearbeitet bei mir an,die beiliegende Anleitung lässt keine Fragen offen, ich habe kabel mit der Angabe 2 x 4 qmmVerwendet und strickt nach Anweisung die Isolierung auf einer Länge von 12,7 mm entfernt,es war total einfach die Stecker mit dem Kabel zu montieren.In meinem speziellen Fall, habe ich allerdings die Isolierung im Anschluss an der Montage um insgesamt 15 mm entfernt,das hat bei mir mit meinen Kabeln hervorragend funktioniert.Fazit, die Montage wenn man nicht löten mag ist hervorragend, der sitz im Verstärker sowie in den Terminals der Lautsprecher ist fest und sicher,ob Stecker den Klang verändern oder gar verbessern weiss ich nicht,aber das wechseln und anschließen verschiedener Komponenten wird erheblich vereinfacht.Diese Stecker bekommen 5 Sterne, die einfache Montage,der sichere halt in den Komponenten und die extrem gute Verarbeitung sind es wert.

    I'll be honest, I didn't have high hopes for these fanlock banana plugs. I previously had purchased some no-name fanlocks from a recognizable AV vendor many years ago and finally exhausted my supply of them. They were poor to say the least, and level-set my expectations.So, I'm extremely happy at how easy these worked. There is enough gap for the wire to fan over the toothed notches but not get caught in the screw threads as you tighten them up. In fact, there isn't much else to say about that - these were so easy to use, I'll definitely buy them again. For reference, I used them with 16 gauge wire.
