4.0 out of 5 stars Doesn’t fit all cameras but can with adaptor
I ordered this as it says in the box that it fits all SLR cameras and, yes it’s my own fault as the description is quite clear. That said all it took was a simple adapter which I purchased from Bolo and it does now fit my Nikon. The lens itself is fantastic, really well made, sturdy and strong and has an impressive zoom. It’s heavy so you’ll need a tripod but at this zoom hand shake would make it unusable otherwise so just something to bear in mind. For the price it really is an impressive piece of kit and while I consider myself an amateur photographer I would say this wouldn’t be out of place in a professional photographer kit bag. Great for nature and scenery, I’m lucky enough to live by the ocean so this is perfect for capturing those amazing sunsets over thr horizon and the various birds and critters that appear from time to time. I would definitely recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars Manage expectations.
When you pay less than £100 for a telephoto/zoom lens for a Canon camera, you can't expect it to have all the bells and whistles. Think of this simply as a telescope that you can attach to your camera. I have tried taking photos with a telescope and a mobile phone attachment. Believe me, this will give you better results. The photo shown has been processed using stacking software and touched up, but I have tried with my Canon 300mm lens, and can't get close to the image quality this gives me. Manual focus is a bit of a pain, but I use this lens for astrophotography and you will find yourself using manual focus anyway with any lens. All in all, this is a great lens for the money. It is well built and looks really good. If you expect crisp clear images taking photos from 7 miles away, you'll probably be disappointed. However, if you can live with pretty good images that can be improved with software, then I think you'll be surprisingly impressed.
3.0 out of 5 stars Fair for the price
Feels light and able to use it without a tripod if needed. The zoom on the lens is difficult to turn and feels rough, with a slight metal rubbing sound that makes adjustments somewhat challenging.Good value for money
4.0 out of 5 stars good zoom range
The zoom range is fantastic, allowing me to capture distant subjects with ease. It works well with my Canon Rebel T7, and I was able to take some great wildlife and nature shots. The manual focus takes a little getting used to, but once I got the hang of it, it wasn’t too hard to adjust for sharp images. The build quality is solid, and the lens feels sturdy. For the price, I think it's a good option for someone looking for a budget-friendly telephoto lens. However, the lens performs best in good lighting conditions. In low light, it can be a bit challenging to get clear shots, and the F8.3 aperture limits some of the light that comes in. Still, for outdoor photography, it’s a great choice
5.0 out of 5 stars Manual lens
Manual long view lens, simple and good quality
4.0 out of 5 stars Decent value
At f/8.3, this is clearly a slow lens. But for the correct conditions, it’s a great lens! And is great value for anyone who merely dabbles in long length photography.Easy enough to use manual aperture controls. It’s a big ole lens as expected, and I would highly recommend tripod mounting.Focal length range is versatile and great functionally too.Would recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive lens for a good price
Easy to Use for Manual Focus: As a manual lens, it requires a bit of a learning curve, but the clear instructions make it simple. Following the steps to set the camera to manual mode, adjust ISO and shutter speed, and manually focus makes for a smooth shooting experience.Impressive Focal Length: With an adjustable focal length of 420-800mm, it's perfect for capturing distant subjects like wildlife, landscapes, and even the moon. The images come out sharp and detailed, especially when used with a tripod for stability. No Need for an Adapter: The upgraded design that mounts directly to my Canon EF camera without the need for an adapter is a huge plus, making it hassle-free to switch between lenses.Great for Outdoor Photography: This lens is ideal for outdoor shooting, especially for long-distance subjects like birds or architecture. It's not suited for fast-moving subjects like sports, but for everything else, it's a fantastic addition to my gear.Quality Build: The manual focus ring is smooth, and the lens feels solid in hand. The aperture value automatically adjusts with the focal length, so no need to manually set it.Overall, this is an excellent telephoto lens for anyone looking to capture long-distance shots with precision. Highly recommended!
Buono
Simple, Basique....Simple,Basique....🔊🎤🎵🎶
