Mark Stanley’s *Elven Blood* is an amazing read! The world-building is vivid and the characters are well-developed, especially Gunnar and Anwyn's love story, which kept me hooked. The plot is packed with tension, ancient rivalries, and emotional twists. You can also see a romance developing between Kemp and Ruiha, adding another layer to the story. The glossary and map at the start are super helpful for diving into this rich universe. The pacing is perfect, keeping me engaged the whole way through. I can’t wait for the next book in the Vellhor Saga!

This book is a fantastic read! As the first book in The Vellhor Saga it grabs you right from the beginning and sets up the rest of the series well. The characters are truly great. The world feels very real, and the magic system is very intricate. The plot is full of action and unexpected twists. Highly recommended.

Elvin Blood drew me in from the off. It has been a good few years since a fantasy book has enticed me past the first few chapters but found myself wanting to read just one chapter more until the book was complete!Fantastically written with intriguing characters and beautifully described environments, you feel fully immersed in the world! The storylines flows with ease, keeping you hooked until the final word!Highly recommend for all fantasy fans! Cannot wait to follow the Vellhor Saga – hopefully not to long for book 2 Mr Stanley!

Elven Blood by Mark Stanley is an incredible fantasy novel with well written characters, fantastic world building, and a dont-want-to-put-the-book-down plot. The glossary and detailed map allow you to immerse yourself in their world before even reading the first page! The story follows Gunnar, a dwarf prince, and Anwyn, an exiled elf, as their love drives them through intense challenges and dangerous alliances. The story is gripping, and the characters’ unique struggles make for an engaging read - highly recommend reading.

Big, imaginative worldbuilding
Vellhor was a delight to explore! It's an awesome fantasy world with elves, dwarves, lizardmen, and humans, with each of the fantasy races having some cool twists to what you'd expect. The world is rich and imaginative, with history, gods, powerful magic, and big conflicts. The characters are engaging and well-thought-out, and the stakes range from world-level to close & personal. Be prepared for some awesome action and heroic scenes. Overall a solid and engaging Book 1, and I heard the series is getting even stronger after that.

"Elven Blood" is a perfect blend of science fiction, fantasy, mystery, fairytale epic, action and even horror at times. If you are a fan of fantasy and stories with limitless imagination this is your book! Kudos to the author!

Elven Blood is a fantastic read! The world-building is rich, and Gunnar and Anwyn’s love story pulled me in. There’s magic, betrayal, and plenty of action as they face a prophecy that could destroy their world. It starts slow but really picks up. If you’re into epic fantasy with great characters, this is a must-read!
For fans of epic fantasy
A great read for anyone looking to escape into a rich fantasy world. I found myself cheering the loudest for Anwyn, but the other story lines were well thought out, each with their own struggles and destinies. The world building is rich and plentiful, especially the backstories to several of the characters (maybe too much), which drags at the pacing. But if you're in to immersive worlds, then this is perfect.

It's a captivating read, for sure! It’s different from what I like to read, and I don't prefer any genre—it’s how the author captured my interest, I suppose.It starts slowly, and I admit I was hesitant with the many POVs, but I'm glad I kept on reading. The characters were definitely a whirlwind of emotions.I recommend that other readers read it. You will not be disappointed.…Now, on the second book.
