Mini amp
It was very compact and convenient and to the great job
Very basic but plenty of power.
I ordered this amplifier to power the in-wall speakers in my streaming studio.First off, I don't understand where they got the 120W rating from. The RMS output as stated in the manual is 40W x4. Math says that is 160W in total. Max output is said to be 200W. The power supply is 5A at 24V which is 120W. You would think they would use the bigger number (160W) but they chose to list the output of the power supply instead? I just find the number they chose weird.I only needed 2 channels, but this is what was available. I hooked it up to my 2 8ohm in-wall speakers and was kind of amazed at what I got. The sound quality is not the best, but it has tons of volume. The highs stand out quite a bit with a good midrange and acceptable bass. With this type of simple amplifier, you cannot expect a lot of bass. It has enough though. Connecting to it through Bluetooth was simple and quick. The one design fail I have found is with the volume control. I did not count how many steps it has between low and high, but it's not even close to enough. It took quite a bit of playing with the phone's volume and the amplifier's volume to get a normal listening level. The jumps are large. It should be better once I connect it to the PCs as the PCs have better volume adjustment.Overall, it's very worth the price. I removed a star for the horrible volume control. As long as the source you are using has a fine volume adjustment, it is great. My Android phone does not.
Was offered a replacement
First one arrived not working properly seller offered replacement Hopefully it comes soon And it is in new condition
This is a great idea to use your own speakers.
I tried this device out in my home. I wanted something I can just connect to and place a speaker in every room and run the wires in the basement. It works perfect. You can use eight 8 ohm speakers if you want or four 4 ohm speakers. The manual states minimum load per channel is 4 ohms so that means you can use 2 8 ohm speakers in parallel per channel in theory. I think this device would be great for whole house sound or for outside in a shed that feeds outdoor speakers. It works great so far for me.
Outperformed My Expectations
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this for an idea I have in the shop, but I wasn't sure if it would get the job done. I will start by saying that it outperforms my expectations and can really deliver the sound, even with larger speakers. In the video I demonstrated my first testing with it and as you can see (and hear), it puts out a good amount of sound. In the test I am running it off of a Bluetooth signal from my phone and it definitely amplifying the sound. I actually went from these speakers and tested it twice more, each time with larger speaker until I ended up with two Sony home speakers and even those really sounded good. If you don't want to use Bluetooth, you can also connect to it via a few ports on the back. Now I have not tested it with the USB-A, but I am sure that if the cable you use is bi-directional and/or a combination charging and data cable you should have no problems. The only thing I don't care for is how small the slots are for each of the speaker wires. I think you will be hard pressed to get anywhere near to full sized speaker wires to work with this amp so that might be an issue depending on your plans. The wires I used were very thin but had solid cores and that worked fie tying into my standard speaker wires. With that said, I am going to take one star off my review for this limitation as well as for the fact that I wish it had an included remote control. Beyond those issues there are no real complaints and as such I have no problem recommending this amp to anyone considering a purchase.
