5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent purchase
Bought these for my Dad who suffers badly with swollen legs (and he's a big guy to begin with). He's very happy with them, nice and thin and very roomy so no more cutting off his circulation with ill-fitting tight socks. Will definitely be purchasing more.
4.0 out of 5 stars even grippy socks
an even grip up the sock with a very stretchy material and no tight grip around the top holds the foot & ankle evenly nice hold. I have swollen feet & ankles at the moment so I know the problems.
5.0 out of 5 stars So soft
Easy to pull on and comfortable to wear. Stay pulled up without making much of a mark on my ankle
5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality and width
I bought these as a gift for my uncle and he struggles with the width of socks with his swollen ankles – they are the perfect material and size
5.0 out of 5 stars Good socks
Bought because my husband struggle to find wide enough socks these were perfect so have purchased more
4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, soft, comfortable socks!
These are fantastic, soft, comfortable socks, and at the moment they are on offer for £7.20 — which I think is a very fair price.I am diabetic and most socks cause me a lot of pain and result in my ankles massively swelling up — leaving deep imprints of the sock's material and elastic in my flesh ...none of this happens with these amazing socks.I've been stung before with socks here that claim to be 'diabetic' socks (and are nothing of the sort), but these, for me, are the real deal. Moreover, you don't need to be diabetic or have sensitive ankles to wear these, they are great socks in their won right for anyone to wear.FYI I have only put these through the washing machine once so far (at 30 degrees centigrade) and they came out without any damage. For super-safety I dried them (fairly quickly) on a clothes horse, rather than in the tumble dryer.PS I'm a UK shoe size 9.5, but my gut (and experience) told me to buy the socks in the '4-8' size ( I think they meant 6-8) and I was proved correct to buy this size — which fits perfectly.
5.0 out of 5 stars These are quite useful for me
While I am not diabetic due to being a heavier person most of my life my legs have adapted to carry me around and so my calves are pretty strong, I can wear ordinary socks if they are short but otherwise it gets awkward. I will also admit being curious about anything bamboo related is also a factor. That aside from my 'tests' aka just wearing them I was able to put them on just fine with them feeling comfortable as you would want them to without the restrictive feeling that some socks have around your ankle barely leaving a mark on my leg even after a full day (at least compared to any other type of sock). Pretty easy to look after socks like these too just wash a pair by hand for a few minutes and leave to dry overnight. I'd say this type of thing is pretty recommendable regardless of if you are diabetic or not.
1.0 out of 5 stars Very Tight and poor quality
I’m a size 7eee, the toes and feet are comfortable, no seams, alas on the 2nd wear I got a hole in my toe, ( my nails are short and shoes are loose) I have big ankles but not medically huge, these socks are tighter than normal socks there is elastic all the way up the ankle with an extra tight top that digs in, leaving a deep dent, the picture of the stretch is true but a very strong person is stretching them. I had to cut the top half way through the day.Avoid
