5.0 out of 5 stars Very good quality projector.
Easy to set up and no complaints about quality. Also fan noise is really low so happy about that compared to some other projectors.
5.0 out of 5 stars Finally found a fantastic projector that actually delivers the goods
I had been searching for a projector for some months and after trying out and returning at least 4 or 5 other projectors I finally decided to pay a little extra and give the Xgimi Mogo Pro a try. All the previous projectors I tried had favourable reviews but they were either too loud and noisy, had user interfaces that were very basic, had apps that crashed or they simply delivered poor picture quality. When the Xgimi Mogo Pro arrived the first thing that struck me was the quality of the packaging and the product itself. It far exceeded the previous projectors I had tried and immediately felt like a more premium product. After turning it on and taking just a few minutes to pair the remote and log into my home Wi-Fi and Google account I was immediately amazed by the ease of use. Everything was easy to navigate and set-up. The apps were also much more stable and worked seamlessly. I was able to get my WWE Network, Disney+, and Bolo Prime Video accounts up and running in no time. One downside was the lack of Netflix compatibility but there was a work around for that and I soon had Netflix on board. It would also be very easy for me to add one of my Bolo Firesticks to the projector via the HDMI port so that was another option that had me covered.Going through various apps and watching a number of different things I was also very pleased with the picture quality. It was far and above any of the previous projectors. Brightness during the day was a little questionable but a few tweaks made things better and I only really planned on using the projector in darker environments anyway and that was where it performed the best with no brightness issues. One of the main things I had bought the projector for was to create my own home cinema set-up and to watch the vast library of DVD discs I have on a bigger screen. All the previous projectors I tried failed miserably to deliver decent DVD picture quality when hooked up via HDMI so I was eager to see how the picture would look via my DVD player. The Xgimi Mogo Pro was a revelation. The DVDs I tried looked better than they ever have and far better than they did on the 4K TV I have in the lounge! I tried it with a variety of films; old black and white films, subtitled films, some animated films and a few modern blockbusters. All of them looked great. I can only imagine how good Blu-ray would look.Sound quality was also very decent and whilst it's not room filling it is perfectly decent for everyday viewing. There is an option to add external speakers or a soundbar and there is also Bluetooth compatibility and the option to use wired headphones. I intend to do most of my watching at night so I will be using headphones mostly. Sound quality via the headphones was very good and again, much better that the other projectors I tried.I was also very pleased with the quietness of the unit. The fan is very discrete and was only slightly noticeable when I used it on a very hot day. As soon as the sound is on it drowns the fan noise out anyway. So in summary the Xgimi Mogo Pro shows that the extra expense is money very well spent.Picture quality is amazing, it's so easy to use, and the unit is very quiet in operation. This is a premium product and is really worth it if you can go that little bit extra and avoid the cheaper £200 price range projectors as they really come no way near to the quality of the Xgimi Mogo Pro.I highly recommend the Xgimi Mogo Pro.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great portable entertainment projector
I've had a couple of weeks with the xgimi now. I'm very satisfied with the quality. The audio is fine if you don't have speakers, gets the job done, and the customer support is excellent.I have deducted a star for the following, which could improve through software updates.- Remote input can feel laggy.- The shortcut button on the remote can only be bound to mute or ambient light control, which is very disappointing.- There is an autofocus button on the remote, but no button for auto keystone. Since this is portable, im constantly in a situation where i want to make it auto keystone. (Im aware of the keystone adjust upon motion setting but dont like it as its too sensitive or starts while im adjusting). For the price, those nitpicks should be resolved.
5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant device, well worth the little extra over the likes of the Nebula Capsule.
Bought this to replace the Nebula Capsule we returned which was basically unwatchable. For the extra £250 or so we paid to get this to replace the capsule, it outperforms the capsule in every conceivable way.300 lumens is perfectly suitable for most situations, though does start to struggle in a room with medium light. Watchable up to a point and then starts to look washed out, but we are only intending to use it for movie nights in a dark room or in the garden once the light fades.Auto focus works well, simple to use interface, no native netflix but the xtv workaround works very easily and reliably. Auto vertical keystone correction is good, manual horizontal keystone is good too, but a little fiddly. Though once done, works well and easily returns to default at the click of a button. Very simple remote too, but the android TV remote app works too and has the added plus of using the keyboard on your phone rather than frantically clicking all over the place with the remote and the on screen keyboard. Google assistant works reliably too.The native 1080p resolution with 4k support is brilliant. Though it doesn't play 4k content in actual 4k, it replicates it very well indeed. Had it projecting a silly big screen on our grey living room wall and it was a very crisp image still.Great form factor and very reasonable sound production from the built in speakers, though you can connect to an external sound system by either Bluetooth or 3.5mm jack.I see lots of boo-hooing feedback online for this saying that 300 lumens isnt any good etc. If you want a 2000 lumen projector, your looking at a cost well above what this costs and the portability will be gone with it. Just bear in mind what this is and its intention of being good quality and portable rather than a full blown home cinema. I am yet to find a situation other than in medium light or more that renders this unwatchable. Highly recommended!
1.0 out of 5 stars I was quite happy… until…
I bought the Mogo Pro about over a year ago, all was good working well until recently It started to randomly restart at any point of it being turned on.Sometimes lasts 5, sometimes 10 min, and another times without any app open, it will shutoff and reboor within 1-2 min of it starting up!I cannot recommend if this projector will only last a year of usage.
