    The hourglass was well packaged and so suffered no damage in transit.It needed a good dust after removal from the box as it was covered with bits of polystyrene and dust from the packaging - not a problem, just an observation.Not hugely robust, but still fit for purpose (to remind me to limit my time online!).

    The media could not be loaded. Review Of: Temple Lodge Store Black Decorative HourglassThe hourglass comes well packaged to prevent damage in transit. It did need a good polish when removed from the box as lots of bits of polystyrene and its dust were all over it.It’s a classic decorative hourglass which the sand runs through perfectly. It would look at home on any shelf or sideboard.Made from wood, glass and sand. I’d say it was mid-range quality.

    This is a glass hourglass that comes in a wooden frame that measures 20cm by 10cm.The hourglass has the usual elegant look to it completed with a black wooden frame around the outside holding it in place and black sand inside.This hourglass looks brilliant in the kitchen for being kept to hand for those instances when you need exact time measurement of an hour using the old school method of an hourglass.The only problem with this is I have tried the hour glass 5 times now and on all 5 occasions it never gave an accurate 1 hours completion of the sand dropping. In fact it is so random it gives me anything from plus 2 minutes to plus 8 minutes over the hour with the glass stood on a flat surface every time.Overall I am not sure how to rate this hourglass as it looks great in my kitchen but unfortunately as its quite inaccurate I wont be using it for such a purpose and therefore cant recommend it as an accurate time counter.
