5.0 out of 5 stars Well made, sturdy.
Very good brush, I hope you can get replacement brush head when worn, but that would take a long time, as good quality.
4.0 out of 5 stars Really useful for cleaning patios.
This brush is great for outside cleaning of patios and decking. It arrives in a reusable zip-seal bag, with the the wire brush head in another zip-seal bag inside. The pole is broken down into four segments that screw together. Usefully, you don't need to use all four poles, so that's great if you're a shorter person or want to give it to a child to use. The poles are aluminium, with plastic sheaths over the connection points to give it more strength. The screw threads are all aluminium too, which is good. The final pole has a hoth through it, which is where you attach the brush head. A bolt, nut and Allen key are supplied. Once constructed, it's quite strong. The brush head is wooden, with the wire bristles set into it. While the connector from the pole to the brush head is solid enough, I think it could be better. So far, it seems to be fine, but if it will fail anywhere, I suspect it will be there. The bristles are stiff, as you'd imagine, but there is just enough give in them to enable sweeping. I tried it out on a patio and some driveway block pavers, and it was great for getting up moss and dirt that a regular brush just wouldn't shift. Used in conjunction with a hose or pressure washer, you can get things spotlessly clean. It's hard to say how long the brush will last. I've used it a couple of times and the bristles are still nice and straight, though I can imagine they will start to bend and separate over time.If you have a patio, slabbed area or block paved drive, then a brush like this is really useful. I can imagine it would be great at cleaning off decking too, which can often become slippery when dirty. A great tool for the shed or garage.
5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy bristles are great for scrubbing dirt and grime from the draveways and paving
We have a paved front drive and back garden and often get small weeds that sprout out from the cracks in between. Removing this is a bit of a chore, and although we have a smaller weed removal steel brush, I was also looking for a larger brush to help with cleaning any grime on the paving that accumulates over the seasons. This brush is a great way to keep the paving clean, the metal bristles are firm and strong and do well to lift any mud, muck and dirt off the paving. It works especially well using a patio and driveway cleaning formula, which you can leave on for a few minutes and then brush over using the broom and water from the hose. It's very well-made, with a wooden head which is slightly tilted offering a better angle for cleaning. It comes with 4 extendable metal poles that connect together to form the handle which reaches a maximum height of 150 cm. The handle has a plastic cap with a hole at the end which makes the broom easy to hang away saving space.
5.0 out of 5 stars Versatile wire brush, suitable for so many surfaces
This wire brush arrives in a bag and just needs putting together, this is very easy. You simply screw the stainless steel pole sections together to the height you desire, then secure these to the brush head with a bolt (Allen key provided to tighten bolt). When put together it feels very sturdy. We already have a wire brush which is a narrower version, so it takes quite a while to do a large area. This brush head is angled at 45 degrees and has a 12 inch wide brush head which has five rows of stainless steel bristles, these are firm but still flexible enough to clean the grooves in the decking. The wood seems very strong and durable too. This brush can be used on many surfaces, including stone, concrete, paving and more. We have used it on decking and on our paved areas and it has removed the weeds and moss quickly and easily. It is comfortable to use, and I like that you can alter the height quickly and easily too as there is quite a bit of difference between my husband and I in height. This means we can both use this brush without straining or having to bend too much. It also stands up well if you are quite vigorous with your brushing.I am pleased with this wire brush, it is very well made and does a great job on so many surfaces with ease. It removes moss, weeds between paving and can remove stains too. I think this brush is excellent value for money at £16.17 at the time of my review (Aug 2024) and would definitely recommend it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works well
Easy to put the parts together and disseamble to put away when not in use. Used on some outdoor patio slabs and cleaned them up well with a white vinegar solution.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality wire broom
This wire broom feels sturdy and of good quality. I like that the length is adjustable, depending on how many sections you screw together. The head is fitted to the handle by a nut and bolt. I used a wrench to hold the nut whilst turning the bolt with the included Allen key, and have slightly bent the handle, but it feels secure. I had mixed results with clearing moss from tarmac. It's still a great tool, and a step up from a standard stiff bristle broom.
5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly sturdy, easy to clean the bristles after use
We have quite a large decking area in our garden with long grooves. Funnily enough this gets really dirty! Our previous garden brush had very stiff plastic bristles that seemed to do the job okay but then you would spend half an hour pulling leaves out of the brush. This wire brush is on a different level. It arrives flat packed(!) and has multiple sections that you screw into each other for the right length for you. The head of the brush is held on by a bolt and feels very sturdy. The brush works really well. The wire bristles are very firm but flexible enough to bend into decking grooves. Very little residue stays on the brush - anything that does can simply be pulled off or brushed out.I read in the blurb that it's good on moss. Thankfully we don't have too much of that to deal with but I did find a spot on our patio and this shifted it in a couple of strokes.I almost threw away the packaging but I thought afterwards I could collapse this brush back to it's flatpack state to store over the winter. So - more expensive than a standard plastic bristle brush but it definitely works much better. At the time of review this is £17.97 which given how well it works I think that's fair.
