    I have recently been having problems with my sciatic nerve on my left hand side which starts to ache if I sit in the same position for a long period of time (even more than half an hour). It is particularly bad when I sit in my office chair and when I am driving. The joys of getting older!!I saw this cushion and wondered if it would help, although not really expecting much.I have been using it now for several days and I can say it makes a real difference.It is very thick (thicker than I had expected), and so gives a lot of support. The two pieces up the back really support the tailbone area too, and so far I can say that I have been able to sit for long period of time without the aching pain I usually get. I make a 60 mile journey quite often, and normally I am in agony and really have to shift around and sometimes stop because of the aching pain which travels right down my leg, but with this cushion I haven't felt the pain (I had to adjust the front seat of the car as the cushion really raises you up and I had to bring the seat closer to the pedals to reach them).I have not felt any cooling effect which is claimed, but neither does the cushion get hot - it just makes sitting much more comfortable.The outer black cover can be unzipped, removed and washed.There are 3 layers to the cushion itself - the blue gel layer which sits at the top, then the white layer underneath and the grey layer on the bottom. These are not separate and are therefore formed into a single cushion. The cushion is contoured to fit the shape of your bottom and thighs perfectly.I think this is really going to make a big difference to me and my sciatica pain, and I am so pleased I got it.I think it is reasonable value at the current price of £29.99 less a 20% discount.

    It’s soft enough also firm enough for me, much better than a flat square thick cushion, it relieves pressure near my tailbone, pain relief when siting for long periods of time!

    This is quite a large cushion and it has an unusual slot in the rear where your coccyx sits so there is no pressure on it. The cushion is quite heavy and consists of a large chunk of moulded memory foam with a gel layer covered in a zipped cover.The gel layer as well as providing support is meant to act as a conductor and transfer heat away. This is called a cooling effect in the literature and whilst is does not feel cooling at all, it certainly does not get hot and uncomfortable.The cover on the bottom has many small bumps that prevent the cushion from sliding around on solid chairs although I would have liked the addition of ties to keep the cushion on the chair.I found this cushion to be extremely supportive and comfortable and would highly recommend it.

    I love everything about this cushion, an item I never would have considered picking buying.This item has completely fixed the ergonomics of my desk setup. By boosting my seating height by a few inches, the cushion allows me to sit at my desk with arms at a 90 degree bend. My feet also sit at a 90 degree bend with this cushion too. I can now sit up straight at my seat. Working for periods of time without pain is a real blessing, and I never would have thought my scatia would be causing the issue.
