    I requested this item so that my grandchildren can see and have a go at the games my 1980s born son played when he was their age.Positives: Comes in a compact, hard shell case with everything required fitting neatly inside. Great fun and an opportunity to reminisce. Simple to use if you’re familiar with handheld devices and controllers. Rechargeable with USB/C charger, which is included. Can be played on the portable device or connected to a television at home for a more arcade and 80s/90s experience. Great family fun. Can switch the sound off, thankfully!Negatives: The music is very tinny and the picture quality is very basic but authentic for the period that the games were popular. The user manual isn’t particularly helpful and I had to ask my nephew what the handheld controller was for because I’m a Luddite and have no interest in electronic games.I like this product and I think present day children will be fascinated by the early electronic games played by their parents but I do think it’ll be a novelty that will fade fairly fast. Considering that you get a hand held device, a television handheld controller, colour coded television wires, a charger and a good quality storage case, I think this item offers good value for money.

    For £19.99 I think this is excellent value for money. It is usb rechargeable and comes with a protective carry case to keep it safe and secure when not being played with. It brings back fond memories of being younger and makes me realise how far technology has come since I was younger. There are hundreds of basic games on this little device, perfect for young ones starting to show an interest in technology. Excellent for travelling or when out and about to keep young ones entertained and inexpensive if they do accidentally damage it etc. great wrap up for Christmas or birthdays.
