Fortunately, the product shown was different as it shows a three pin plug on the unit. it says it would fit the age of MacBook Air I have when it arrived it fitted the charging unit like a glove looks identical to the one supplied just what I needed. The connection to the lap top was ideal starts green then changes to orange showing that the Lap Top was charging.

Worked for a bit - maybe two to three charges over a month. Then just does nothing. Had to buy a secondhand official charger. Don’t waste your money on this product. If I could refund, I would, but it’s now longer than 1 month since I bought it so I can’t. Useless.

This cable works as it should, but it does make a whining noise. When it is plugged in and switched on, if the laptop is in use, it doesn't whine. If the laptop is in sleep mode, it whines. A very high-pitched sound.
