5.0 out of 5 stars Fairly simple to use
Ordered to test for EBV.. It comes with all the required parts to carry out this test and even includes an alcohol wipe to sterilise the skin before using the lancer. You actually recieve two lancets in case u don't get a good enough sample the first time.I had a bit of a problem getting the pipette to collect the sample, I worked out I needed to just press my finger more so more sample came out and could be sucked into the pipette. Eventually I had enough to fill the narrow section of the pipette and I continued the test. You do not need to push the pipette just let it suck the sample into it from the flow.I placed two drops of the sample in each side of the cartridge where it says S. I left the sample to fill this area then opened the buffer and put two drops of this into the S of the cartridge.I left this 15 mins as per the instructions and saw that the C showed a line which means the sample was met the control requirements and that in neither of the Test line was any line so this means I'm negative.Quite a relief and simple to do.
5.0 out of 5 stars Quick and Insightful Epstein-Barr Virus Test
I recently had to take the Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) test, specifically looking at IgG antibodies against the virus's VCA (Viral Capsid Antigen) and EBNA (Epstein-Barr Nuclear Antigen). The process was straightforward, and the test results gave me clear insights into whether I had a past or recent infection. The IgG antibodies test is designed to check for past exposure to EBV and how your body’s immune system has responded. In my case, it was reassuring to see that the test detected the antibodies, confirming that I’d had the virus before, even if I hadn’t known about it. This type of test is essential for understanding whether a person has had a past infection or is dealing with a reactivation, which can happen in some cases.Pros:Clearly detects past exposure to EBV through IgG antibodiesHelpful for confirming EBV-related symptoms or reactivationQuick and reliable test resultsProvides detailed information on your immune responseCons:Doesn’t diagnose an active infection (that would require IgM testing as well)Some might find the medical terminology a bit complex without guidanceOverall, if you're looking to confirm past exposure to EBV or get clarity on potential reactivation, this test is incredibly useful.
5.0 out of 5 stars Simple and accurate
This is a very simple test and in my experience accurate. Good value too.No issues.
