I do a lot of dog rescue camping events, so the text cover had got a rip in it after rubbing on a hard surface. I was looking for something to cover the rip and also to give the tent cover a longer life to do more camping events. These are great sturdy patches and are exactly what I needed to cover the tent covers rip,You get 8 individual patches in the pack that I ordered, with 3 different sizes which can be applies to most surfaces depending on the damage. They are really easy to apply by simply taking off the plastic backing and sticking straight onto the surface. This is a nice pack of repair patches of various sizes that are ideal for quick running repairs to my down items. They are a nice dark blue colour and have a slightly woven texture to the facing side. It was a little difficult removing the backing paper but this shouldn't be too bad as long as care is taken. The patches adhere very well as long as the surface is clean and the surface kept flat.Once applied I was able to use the down filled items as usual without any loss of filling and they have been successful in preventing the holes, or tears, from getting larger, or longer. Although I haven't washed the garments with these patches yet I have washed similar patches and found that they do not stay stuck on long term after a couple of washes. Until I've used, and washed, these patches a number of times I can't comment on their longevity. However as a quick repair whilst out and about they are perfect and, as they have no virtually no bulk at all, are great for popping into my repair kit for backpacking and camping.Recommended.

Exactly what I needed - match the colour and weave of a a lightweight waxed jacket, and the patches adhere so well, even folded over a hem or cuff. Increasing the life of my favourite jacket by ages.

Good selection of different sized patches that stick on the jacket keeping it waterproof over any holes or rips. Super for fishing as goes with camo colours or the army green outerwear. More patches that you will need too!

The sample of the AXEN Down Jacket Patches are thin self-adhesive patches designed to cover small tears in materials. They are shaped patches of different sizes, so that tears can be of different sizes. I used a number of the patches to cover small cosmetic tears and cracks in an old leather sofa. After a few days they are still in place.There are two issues that purchasers need to be aware of: firstly the patches are not that easy to remove from their backing. They eventually come away - but it was a bit of an effort, particularly with the smallest patches. Secondly, they are very thin. Where there is a small tear that isn' likely to be damaged further - this is fine. They aren't thick enough to give confidence that they will manage large holes, rather than small tears. Having pointed to a couple of limitations, if you are patient and spend time moving the backing, and the patches that need to be covered are relatively small and not used constantly, they should do pretty well.

I'll get to the point. Recently I ruined my winter jacket by touching it with a cigarette by mistake, which left two burnt holes on my jacket.I was fuming, as I actually really liked this jacket but it looked terrible with the burn marks and by extension lost its water resistance as there was a gaping hole now.Well, these jacket patches by AXEN are EXACTLY what I needed. The pack I ordered comes with 16 individual patches ( 4 x 4 different sizes) which can be applies to your jacket depending on the damage. They are extremely easy to apply and stick really well (at least so far), covering your previous damage.In my specific instance, the stickers very closely match the jacket so you could almost be fooled to think that they are part of the design.These patches saved my jacket so I can continue using it and wont need to buy a new one.This is a very cost effective way to save your clothes instead of binning them and I wholeheartedly support this.Great product!
5.0 out of 5 stars Backing hard to remove. Restricted with sizes
These patches have been great for my son's school bag where it has started to get holes from being dragged around the playground but still has plenty life left in it. The patches come in 4 different sizes although these are all cut out into hexagons and I feel like it would have been better value for money just having a strip which could be cut to size ourselves. They are self adhesive but the backing paper is cut edge to edge so unless you've got some nails, it's quite difficult to catch an edge to peel it. There's a lot of flexibility in the patches though so they fit well to any surface really even in corners and the adhesive seems very strong so doesn't look like it will peel off easily. With their being a size restriction, these are really only designed for small holes - the smallest size being not much bigger than my thumb nail but they have already come in handy so good to have to help prolong the life of an item that may have ended up getting thrown away.
