4.0 out of 5 stars WOW..what a camera kit for £32
This is a comprehensive first camera kit. It comes complete with lanyard for neck and wrist, pouch, micro SD card, micro SD-USB-a card reader dongle, mini USB to USB-a cable and impressively 2 rechargeable batteries. The batteries have to be charged in the camera via the USB cable supplied either by plugging it into a computer or a USB-a charger plug. It has several features inside the camera itself being able to take black and white photos. It is described as being 48mpixel camera. It might need a bit of fiddling to get that resolution the pictures I took of the flowers and dog had a lot of noise. My iPhone and IPAd taking the same photos didn’t have blurry noise when zooming into the detail. . The USB micro SD card reader is a nice add on although with my large hand I could not get the SD card out of the camera. The downside to the camera is the view screen and front lens are uncovered and unprotected and will not last long unscratched and gunged up as a “kids camera” The camera easily connected to my laptop via the USB cable and downloaded the photos (windows) via a DCIM folder and drag and drop. It completes complete with a quick setup guide and a manual. For this price point its a good kit.
5.0 out of 5 stars Thoughtful kids features
My daughter loves taking snapshots of her friends with the digital camera. You can add effects to the images, and its small, convenient size is perfect for her. It came with two straps—one to wear around the neck and a handy wrist strap, making it great for kids on the go!
4.0 out of 5 stars Good
It's great to still see affordable digital cameras-I'm glad to see digital camera still popular and not being replaced by mobile phones. This one is very affordable at £35, and the photo quality reflects this, hence why it's more aimed at children. For a child's very first camera, it is perfect. It's a good way to get them into taking photos and to improve their skills. It's a good way to learn how to sue technology too, but I suppose children are always good and a natural with tech anyway-A decent affordable first digital camera
4.0 out of 5 stars Fine as a first camera for kids, best viewed on a smaller screen...
Let's start positive! The digital camera has a quite comprehensive menu, permitting 'control' of the camera along the lines of a 'proper' handycam, including White Balance, ISO setting, Sharpness (set this to Soft, even Normal is over sharpened), creative effects, and more! With plenty of light photos & video shots are acceptable on a small screen, with lower light shooting the picture becomes very noisy very quickly, with the 'flash' not really helping that much. The 16x zoom function is entirely digital, quality is as should be expected from a budget sensor.Mode selection is done by pressing the OK button in the d-pad, switching from photo, to video, to viewer, cycling through when pressed. The D-pad Up switches the 'flash' LED on & off, pressing Right switches between normal and burst mode, Left sets the self-timer options, up to 10 seconds delay can be set. While 2 batteries are provided, there is no dedicated charger, only the camera, plugged into a USB port, will charge them, a pull tab is attached to the battery top to assist in removing from the camera, a tiny tab in the front centre of the battery compartment needs to be pressed to unlock the battery for removal. The Micro SD card resides in the battery compartment, having fingernails will assist in insertion & removal. The memory card is not particularly high-speed, and can be read while in the camera, or removed and used in the provided USB card reader.Negatives:Picture quality, even at "48MP" (8000x6000 pixels) is average, but acceptable given the target user and price point, over sharpening and heavy compression does nothing to retain any quality that may have existed. Video at 1080 looks as if it is upscaled from 480 - but, on my camera, the microphone recording quality was surprisingly clear, compared to the resolution, anyway! Conclusion: The kit itself is comprehensive and contains everything a budding photographer / filmmaker might need - and is small enough to fit in a junior's hand and pocket. Quality of photos and video are not great, but should satisfy some of the creative urge, and certainly give some pleasure viweing their masterpieces on a smaller screen. So, surprisingly not massively negative as reviews go, 4 stars only because of the sharpening / compression typical of budget Chinese cameras. It isn't brilliant quality, but is light-years ahead of some recent offerings!
4.0 out of 5 stars Good for kids
This is a nice little camera for kids and I was very impressed to see that it comes with a memory card. I was also appreciative of their being two batteries, so it gives your child plenty of time to take there snaps before having to charge the batteries up again. It is pretty self explanatory to work out how to do what on the camera and I think most tech savvy kids would have it up and running in no time at all.The camera is very lightweight and doesn't feel the most amazing quality so I think it would be best not used for the smallest hands as it could quite easily get broken. The picture quality is perfectly adequate and it makes a good starter point for any budding photographer. I think it would also make a nice gift for kids 7+.
5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely a good start for kids
Call me old fashioned but I am opposed to my 8 year old granddaughter having an expensive smartphone at such an early age despite her constant protestations that she needs one for the camera.I ordered this as a substitute fully expecting her to turn her nose up at it only to be proven wrong, she was delighted to have a real camera all of her own.Quality of the images it produces is ok, nothing to write home about but as she isn't expecting to print them and only views them on her laptop screen they are more than adequate.Camera operation is simple enough, I showed her the basics and she soon got the hang of things, so much so that I fear she may quickly outgrow this and I will end up getting her something more expensive anyway.Still, whilst I received this for free if you are considering ordering, for the price I doubt it will disappoint.
Reminiscent of the early 2000’s point & shoot digital cameras 📸
Marketed towards kids in the title, this very basic point and shoot digital camera can be used by anyone! My bestie and I were recently talking about the times years ago when we used to bring our little digital cameras around to the bars, dining out to restaurants, any event really. Of course today our phones are our point and shoot cameras and are better quality than ever. We were laughing about how fun it could be if we got a digital camera again, like this one by AiSkoven. Lo and behold, this one is basically identical to what we were talking about! With somewhat grainy resolutions, this digital camera makes it easy to achieve that millennium style photo aesthetic. It has all of the basic functions you need to get started, and it’s easy to understand and use. The text is clear and labelled well within the menu and settings. My best advice is to play and experiment with it, it’s the best way to find your own unique style of photographing and learning the specific how-to's of this camera! I’m happy that an extra battery came with this bundle! As well as a memory card - I find that most times nowadays memory cards are omitted from the device, but I was pleasantly surprised with this one. The baby pink colour of the camera is cute and fun! I think it’s a great little digital camera that can certainly introduce photography to kids and teens, to adults of any age. Also great for filming content for assignments, creative content, social media, etc!________________Product review for 📌Seller/Brand: AiSkoven • Digital Camera with 64GB Card,FHD 1080P 48MP Kids Camera with 16X Zoom Anti Shake 2 Batteries, Compact Portable Small Point and Shoot Digital Cameras Gift for Kid Student Children Teen Girl Boy
Exceptional Value! Easy to operate and takes decent pictures.
The media could not be loaded. This digital camera is an absolute exceptional value at the time of this review. There is an available 20-dollar coupon off an already reduced price with an 11% discount. 29 dollars for this camera is fantastic. The camera comes with a 64GB Micro-SD card which is worth about 50 to 75% of the price of the camera. The camera is perfect for beginners or older children. The camera specifications are decent. It has a 48.0 Mega Pixel camera with a 16X zoom lens. The camera is lightweight and measures just 4 inches by 2.25 inches. It is compact and comfortable to hold. It also has a mount hole at the bottom to use on a tripod or other camera bracket. This kit also includes two carrying straps, 2 rechargeable batteries, a USB data and charging cable, a USB Micro-SD card reader, a cleaning cloth, and a soft carrying bag.The camera is easy to operate. On the top, you have the power button and the capture button for taking pictures. On the right side of the LCD screen are the other controls. You can zoom in and out, access the menu, and navigate through and select settings. I included a short video to show the available settings which is quite extensive. Obviously, this would be too difficult for a younger child but once setup for them, they could easily learn to take some decent photos. As soon as I connected the camera to my PC using the USB cable, my computer recognized a new USB device plugged in. A 100MEDIA folder inside another DCIM folder shows the pictures I took. The last 3 pictures in this review were taken with this camera.Overall, there is nothing not to like about this camera kit for the price. It is outstanding. From the accessories to the quality of the pictures and easy access connection options, it is an exceptional value.
meh, not sure if resolution or MP rating are correct
I got this camera to replace the 20 year old sony cybershot that only has 5 MP (8 with digital zoom) that takes AA batteries that my spouse won't get rid of because it's small and he doesn't have to worry about it on the kayak or motorcycle. I thought this would be perfect, 48 MP and rechargeable. For the posted pictures, Settings were set to mode-Auto, 48M resolution, Super Fine Quality, Auto ISO, Anti shake on and Sharp Sharpness. All other settings were default. And then I went through most of the "Effects" settings. (I skipped the ones that really weren't very different from normal.)The first 3 are with Effects set to Normal, with No zoom - 2/3 zoom (full orange) and Full zoom (full red zoom) respectively. The remainder of pictures were set to 2/3 zoom with the variety of effects.I am not overly impressed with the overall quality of the pictures (sharpness and clarity), and I'm also not overly impressed with the array of Effects Filters. Honestly, The 20 year old Sony Cyber shot is better, even if I do have to keep AA batteries on hand. Too bad, I was excited for this camera. It comes with 2 batteries, and shows up like a USB when you plug the camera directly into PC with USB, thus the 2 stars.
A great camera for a young aspiring photographer
My 5 y/o had a kiddier version of a camera like this with a cat on it - she was using it a LOT, so we thought it was time to try an upgrade. This one doesn't have games on it like the first one did - but as a camera it's quite a few steps forward. Much better photo quality, and it takes videos too. It's actually good enough that it reminds me of a similar 20mp camera I have laying around from the early 2000s that I bought for about $160 at the time.So the value is good. The markings on the buttons do rub off after a while.Keep in mind the zoom is digital only - so it's essentially cropping. on 24MP if you want a usable photo - generally - you don't crop - you zoom with your feet. This is where the old cameras from 2000s absolutely destroy this camera. Having said that - who cares?
Good starter camera\kids toy
I can't believe I'm saying this.. But this is good as a starter camera, or as a kids toy.If you need a camera around to capture any type of incidents for insurance for example, this is good to have around for that.Otherwise, it's great as a kids toy or to just give a kid as their camera. Most phones these days have built in cameras that are of a much higher quality. So there isn't much need to carry this around unless you need it specifically for some job or just give it to a kid for them to mess around with.16x optical zoom is pretty decent though, digital zoom isn't great but that's the same with every camera. Nice that they included a memory card as well and a second battery so you can keep another charged battery ready to swap out.
