This is an incredibly well thought out game for young children. What is there not to like about "hooking" one of the magnetic shapes from the board following on from the role of the die .The mat is double sided so that you can use either colours or shapes and stretch their knowledge and understanding even further whilst developing eye and hand co-ordination.The different components are very well made and will withstand lots of playing with and the thick cardboard storage box is sturdily made.A very well thought out game suitable for young children.

This is a nice wooden toy. All the pieces are made well with no sharp edging. However some bits are small so you need to keep an eye on babies/ toddlers in case they put them in their mouths.The magnets are fixed well to each piece and they are strong attaching to the end of the fishing rods with easy.The foam mat folds out flat. There is a game on one side to match the shapes and the other side to match the colours.No instructions enclosed but it seems easy enough to pick up.There are two dice enclosed one for shapes and the other for colours.For me the 5* rating is lost in the finer detail.Firstly the colours are not very clear. Pink and red look very similar and orange looks yellow. Also some of the shapes are not formed quite right. Particularly on the fish where the oval shape only appears on one side, this happens to be on the side facing down which is silly. Unfortunately due to the fish not being symmetrical you cant flip it over as it does not fit into the wooden board that way. My 3 year old found the colours and some of the shapes confusing. Overall a nicely made wooden toy just needs a couple of tweaks.

This is well made and well thought kids game. The pieces are made of wood with smooth finish. The magnets are strong and easy to fish. The ' board' has two sides, colours and shapes. It is fun game for pre schooler and early education kids. Vibrant colours, hand eye coordination with using rods. Good value as well.

The Plunack Magnetic Wooden Fishing Game is a great, hands-on toy for young children aged 3 to 5. My kids really enjoyed it, as it helped them learn letters, numbers, colours, and shapes in a fun and interactive way. The magnetic fishing rods make catching the wooden fish a joy, while also improving their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. The two-sided mat is easy to fold and store, which I appreciated for keeping things tidy. I also like that the toy is made from safe, durable materials, so it can withstand some rough play. A fantastic educational tool, and well worth the price!

This Plunack magnetic wooden fishing game was fun to play with. Nicely presented in a box so ideal for gifting, and priced at £8.99 at the time of this review. It was well made from wood mostly, and nicely finished edges and corners. The magnet fishing rods worked well picking up the shapes. The mat needs to be opened out to relax a bit as it doesn't sit flat. The two dice are chunky sized, good for little hands. Overall, a good toy incorporating fun whilst learning

Plunack Magnetic Wooden Fishing Game Fine Motor Skill Montessori Toys with Ocean Animal Shape Numbers and Letters, Preschool Learning Educational Toys Gifts for 3 4 5 Years Old Girls BoysThis set comes nicely packaged with lovely bright wooden pieces, a double sided felt mat, a pair of wooden dice and a couple of fishing rods. There are no instructions in the set so its more a matter of make it up as you go along. The fish are pretty small and could easily be swallowed so you need to keep an eye on very young children when playing with the set.I like the idea of the numbers and letters of the alphabet being made into different fish shapes but a couple of the shapes are a little difficult to identify, the oval mainly, so could confuse. There are markings on one side of the fish to indicate the shape but they do not stand out very well against the background colours. The pink and red are very similar in colour but that may just be my poor eyesight!The magnets are strong and its easy to fish for the pieces which you then need to pull off and place on the mat. As I have said it is very well made and the wooden pieces have a lovely smooth finish and the painting is superb and should last a very long time.

This game has a double sided circular board. On one side( my favourite ) are colours. The colours are blue, pink, red, orange, green and purple. There is also a dice with the same colours on. The children can roll a dice and find fish of the corresponding colour and place it on the board. The other side of the board has 2D shapes for the children to sort fish into. The magnetic fish have shapes within the fish. I did not find the shapes on the fish clear . The oval and the circle are quite hard to differentiate. Within the fish there are also some with numbers on and capital letters. In the UK young children start identifying lower case letters before uppercase so this may be difficult for the younger children.I feel that this game has a lot of potential and can be used in many different educational ways. The act of fishing using the magnetic rods improves dexterity and hand eye coordination. I also like that the game at can be folded away for easy storage. The pieces of the game are wooden and well made.

Magnetic Fishing Game
Purchased for our 3 1/2 year old grandson. He loves this game. Several versions to play. Match colors or shapes. The designs are very interesting and the magnets hold well when fishing. Would buy this again or recommend to a friend.
Really fun for kids who love fishing games!
I ordered this for my toddler because she really enjoys fishing games. We have a different fishing game at home (the one where fish pop up and open their mouths) and I figured that she would like this game as well.... And she did!This game was a lot of fun because there were so many different pieces to fish. They were of a variety of colors as well as a variety of shapes and so it was quite easy to make a game out of this. I really like that this came with two fishing rods so that two kids can play at the same time, as well as two dice that you could use to make the toy a little bit more fun because you could turn it into a two-player game! It comes with a mat, two fishing rods, 30 "fish", and a nice board to store all of the "fish" in. The fish in the dice are painted nicely, and all the pieces are well sanded without any sharp edges. The magnets pick up the fish very easily, and the mad is double-sided so you can sort the fish how you like.Overall, I found that this toy was really fun, and having two fishing rods so two kids could fish at the same time was great. We actually dumped all the fish into a laundry basket, and called it a "pond". My kids had so much fun - they played with this for several hours on the first day we owned it. If you're looking for a nice quality wooden toy that is also educational, I would highly recommend this. I would say that if you are using it with a 3-year-old or younger, You will need to supervise them because the fish are quite small and there could be a chance that toddlers may put the pieces in their mouths.Quality for this toy is great!
Super fun for this homeschooling mom
This is a wonderful game to add to our learning at home. Its fun time away from workbooks and notecards. My 7 year old son loves it. Works great and is worth the money fir the value.
Fun, Colourful and Educational!
The media could not be loaded. Fun and educational toy! The magnets work well, and the pieces feel pretty durable. The colours are vibrant. I love that you can switch up the game depending on your kid’s age, so it grows with them and keeps things interesting. Or it could work if you have kids of multiple ages.A minor issue that a plastic bag will fix, but it would have been great if it came with a storage solution! Each piece has a magnet on both sides. While this is great for the magnet use, this means it does not stay flat. Also, the magnets work great but there is no “release” once you do capture it. Obviously you can just grab it off. For the price, though, it’s a solid buy (~28CAD). Would recommend.
