At the price that is shown on this item, I was expecting just some cheap men's socks, but these are actually really rather nice. They're cushioned and thermal, which is good both for comfort and for the colder days ahead. The shape and colours are really nice too.I don't know what the exact blend of material is, but it's clearly predominantly cotton or at least it feels that way. They have a nice soft feel about them and they feel nice on the skin, which is important if you're wearing them all day. I found them to be a perfect fit around both the toes and the heels. The toes are seamless, which is really nice and something that you don't usually see in less expensive socks.These will get lots of wear over the next few months now that the winter days are drawing in, so they have arrived just at the right time as it's now that I get the most use from my walking boots and these socks will be perfect for that situation.So overall, I think these represent excellent value for money, are nice and snug and warm, fit well and feel nice against the skin.

This is a review for the Niorasen set of five padded socks.The socks aren't 100% natural fibres, but they claim that they are predominantly cotton. They arrive vacuum sealed inside a plastic bag. The socks seem pretty well made, with no significant defects.The heels are fairly well cushioned, though the ball of the foot a bit less so. They are able to keep my feet reasonably warm, but I don't think I would overheat in them in the summer.I like the variety of colours and appreciate that the pack includes two black pairs.Overall, I like these socks but will use them for normal daily wear rather than specifically for cold days or particular activities.

Winter is approaching and it was time to replace my worn out boot socks, so I ordered this pack of five pairs to keep my feet warm indoors and out. Initially, I wasn't so sure about the design. I prefer plain patterns, and as a woman, to me they look like they're made for men. Once I put them on my feet however, it didn't seem to matter so much. They fit my woman's UK size 7 perfectly. They're very stretchy and clingy, and not loose. They're warm and soft. Thick enough to wear as house socks, though not too thick that I can't get my boots on over them. I like that they reach half way up my calves to keep my ankles warm, covering the gap between the bottom of your trousers and your boots, and good for taller boots too. They very comfortable and great quality socks. Happy to recommend.

These socks felt soft,warm and very comfy with just right amount of elasticity in the knit so there was no feeling of them being tight around the calf. They also look thick enough to stand up to good amount of wear and tear.The seam at the toes was smooth and there was no discomfort in that area at all when wearing them.With five pairs supplied at a reasonable price I think they are a good value quality sock perfect for both sports and everyday wear and I recommend them

Niorasen Full Cushion Thermal Socks - price when reviewed £ 14.99These are a quite nice general purpose day-to-day sports sock. They seem of good quality and fit well - the sizing seems to be about right. However, the claims of cushioning and thermal properties seem over-blown to me. I would be happy to wear these socks with my trainers and shoes, but I would need something heavier, with better cushioning, in my walking boots, particularly for longer hikes. If you want a general purpose sock for day-to-day use these are fine, but do not think they are an alternative to proper walking socks.

I ordered the size 12 -14 for my size 11 feet as i dont like my socks to tight and these are perfect.The ankle cuff is not too tight either which is also a concern for me.The thickness is what i would class as medium thickness so they are warm but not toasty levels but should be good enough for general winter use with trainers but for activities like hiking they are not ideal.The price for 5 pairs at £14.99 seems more than fair.

I really liked these socks! I found them to be nice and soft. I've ordered these to go walking in. I don't have 'seam issues' like some people I know, but I do know on a long hike that can end up an issue. I found the toe end to be very smooth, with the smallest of dimples to one side that I didn't feel when on. I do think these are a realistic size. I have a size 8.5 wide fitting foot and have been scolded so many times when ordering socks, so I prefer to order a size up. This 9 to 11 fits me generously, and can stretch a good couple of inches. The tops of the socks are also not too tight on my legs too. Nice and thick, fluffy inside.
