Firstly, the camera menus were in Chinese when I first switched it on. It took me some time to realize that the instructions read left to right, on the top half of the paper, and then left to right again on the bottom half of the paper. I've found this very confusing. Eventually, I managed to count the number of menu items on the paper, so I could select the right option to change the language to English. The camera seems to be continually refocusing and requires a very steady image with no movement. I couldn't take a photograph of a dog that was moving, without it being blurred. I had to have a stationery subject before I could get a half decent photograph. The video was even worse for continually refocusing and when I eventually did get a reasonable video it turned out I was unable to play the AVI file on either of my Android devices. This was probably because it required a different codex. The instructions did give an explanation of how to switch between options but gave no information as to what the option actually did. I was continually getting overexpose or underexposed images. I was really hoping that it would be more intuitive. I kept getting a message saying that flash was not available in macro mode but wasn't unable to find out how to take it out of macro mode. Overall I'm a little disappointed.
