4.0 out of 5 stars great for children who love space and science
Great value for the price and offers plenty of fun, though it does feel a bit cheap. The kit includes 6 different robot designs, which keeps kids entertained. It is a solid STEM educational toy, introducing concepts like renewable energy as kids build and play. The solar power feature is a cool touch, showing how energy from the sun can power the robots, though it’s not the fastest in cloudy weather which for the UK will be a problem! Fortunately, you can use batteries when the solar energy isn’t enough. The pieces snap together easily, no tools needed, but some parts are small so adult supervision is required.Lots of variety in the robot designs, space rovers to astronauts which makes it engaging and challenges children at different skill levels. While it’s more fun than educational, it does help improve logical thinking and problem-solving.Overall, it is a well-designed robot kit that offers a fun and interactive learning experience for children. Would be a great gift for a child who loves space
5.0 out of 5 stars provides hours of fun
This kit offers the opportunity to build six different types of robots, including a Space Rover, Space Explorer, and Space Dog. Each robot has its unique design and functionality, which keeps my son engaged as he switches between projects. The assembly process is enjoyable and challenging but not overwhelming for kids aged 8-12. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, allowing my son to work independently, which is a huge plus for us. Watching him develop problem-solving skills while figuring out how to put each robot together has been rewarding. The use of solar energy in this kit is a fantastic educational component. It helps teach kids about renewable energy and the importance of sustainability. My son is fascinated by how the robots move using solar power, and it has led to some great discussions about energy sources and the environment. The quality of the materials is decent for the price point. The parts are sturdy enough to withstand the occasional drop, and the design is visually appealing. However, I noticed that some pieces could be a bit tricky to fit together, requiring a gentle touch.
4.0 out of 5 stars Fun little kit for the kids
This is a fun little kit that the kids are enjoying. The kit is basically 6 in 1 with different models they can build, all quite different and are interesting for them to build. While the pieces are larger than other types of block building, they do have some smaller parts so may need some supervision but the instructions are easy enough for them to follow if old enough and there doing a grand job.The solar part is interesting, not for charging but uses it to run and it's a fun show of how the suns energy can be used, but sadly here in Scotland, we're not getting much so isn't fast going, still works well tho and can be used with batteries.it's a good kit, fun more than educational and the different movements of those I've seen so far have been varied so happy with that and the kit overall.
5.0 out of 5 stars Educational Solar-Powered Fun
This kit is perfect for teaching kids about solar power and robotics. My son was fascinated by how the robots move using sunlight, and it was a great way to introduce him to renewable energy. It’s both fun and educational, sparking his curiosity about science while he builds and plays. The kit allows for different robot designs, and my son loved having the option to build various models. Each one has unique movements and designs, which kept him entertained and challenged his creativity. The parts are sturdy and well-made, and the instructions were clear enough for my son to follow. He could easily build the robots with a bit of guidance, and the solar panel works well when placed in direct sunlight.
4.0 out of 5 stars Works really well.
This review is for STEM Projects for Kids Ages 8-12, Science Kits for Boys 8-14, 6-in-1 Solar Robot Space Toys Building Science KitThis space kit build 6 different models, and although there is quite comprehensive instructions the kit it is quite fiddly, and the parts are a bit plasticky and with too much pressure the small parts might break leaving the whole kit unusable, the educational value of this kit is excellent, teaching building skills and then using solar power to make their models move, overall a great kit for the price, and would make a great stocking filler.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great set for scientific whizz kids
The vendors description, measurements and pictures are accurate and correct. This kit is well thought out and well made from quality materials. The plastic parts arrive in their injection molded sprigs. They will need to be removed carefully. All other parts are carefully packaged in a bag to avoid loss. The instruction book is in english and actually is more pics than words. Some of it is a little complex and may need adult assistance for those under 10yrs.Batteries are not supplied but needed for some models.Happy to recommendHope you found this review helpful.
4.0 out of 5 stars Dual power source, detailed instructions, fairly priced.
This is a cool set which will require adult supervision as instructions are detailed and some parts are small.A pair of pliers is a good idea too so you can easily separate off the parts. The pieces all snap together so no tools are required and you can choose to build one of the 6 options. It’s an engaging project that can be powered by solar or rechargeable battery power and a great learning opportunity. The plastics seem nice quality and the age range of 8 seems about right to me.It’s fairly priced in my opinion and a well designed kit that kids can bring to life.I hope you find my review helpful.
