4.0 out of 5 stars Thick and warm and true knee high socks
I ordered these socks on size 9-15, I wear a Uk 9 and they fit well. They have plenty of stretch so they should accommodate larger foot sizes without issue. They are made from a thick soft fabric that is a bit fluffy on the inside making them warm and cushioning. The heel and toe box are seam free and reinforced. They do reach right up to the knee and so far they appear to have a good amount of elasticity and grip, staying in place without slipping down.I like knee length socks for extra warmth when I go hiking in the winter months and these tick all the boxes. I like the black/grey colour mix.Overall they are a good quality winter weight sock that is comfortable, cushioning and warm. I received them free of charge to review as part of the Vine programme but if I had paid for them I would be happy with the purchase.
5.0 out of 5 stars Warm, Comfortable, and Perfect for Winter Sports!
The Niorasen Merino Wool Ski Socks are fantastic for anyone who spends time outdoors in cold weather. These knee-high socks are made from quality merino wool, providing excellent warmth and comfort for skiing, snowboarding, and hiking. The full cushioning is just right—not too bulky but thick enough to keep my feet warm even in freezing conditions. The socks fit snugly without slipping, and they stay in place all day, which is perfect for active sports. The material is breathable and moisture-wicking, so my feet stay dry and comfortable even during intense activity. They’re also durable, and after multiple wears, they still look and feel great. If you're looking for reliable, warm socks that are comfortable for long days outside, these are a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for winter sports and outdoor adventures!
5.0 out of 5 stars Super Soft
My husband suffers with quite a bit of swelling in his lower legs and has started wearing a knee length sock as he finds these much more comfortable than a mid calf length. Now we are moving in to the colder months we have been looking for something that bit warmer and these ski socks fit the bill surprisingly well. The designs are vibrant but that is a secret between me, him and his jeans. It does make them incredibly easy to spot when emptying the washer or the dryer so does help mitigate the lost sock syndrome that we all know so well.I did wonder how these would feel as it is rather complex mixture of fibres:31% Wool (states it is Merino wool)37% Polyester26% Acrylic3% Nylon3% SpandexWhat this combination does do is make the socks feel super soft and cosy whilst keeping your feet toasty warm. There is also a good elasticity to the sock making them easy to take off and put on. More importantly they are a very comfortable fit and you don't seem to get much digging in at the knee from the ribbing. Great for all day wear. They wash well and don't seem to have to any harm after being through a tumble dry cycle as well.
4.0 out of 5 stars Very warm and pretty comfy
The warmth of these is excellent and they are comfy for a long day. Very high socks do start to irritate after some hours, but they are generally really good for a cold hike or sitting out with the bonfire.
5.0 out of 5 stars High winter socks
These blended merino wool-synthetic socks seem top-quality. Their seamless design should reduction any friction. The fabric feels soft to the touch (even though it’s just 31% merino wool). These socks feel comfortable and cosy. They are decently thick and a bit flufly inside what should provide some level of insulation against the winter conditions. I like that they are high socks (below the knees) which could contribute to keep the lower part of your legs warm under your trousers. Certainly I will wear them for my next hiking and camping adventures this autumn-winter season.
5.0 out of 5 stars Really thick, luxurious winter socks!
This twin pack of socks has totally exceeded my expectations in terms of both quality and comfort.Quality wise the fabric is thick, soft and superbly warming on the feet once on.The fit is quite tight around the calf area which helps to circulate the blood abit more efficiently thus reducing achy calfs and feet when I'm on the go all day.Once on these socks feel extremely comfortable to wear and the built in thermal technology in the wool helps to keep my feet toasty and warm during even the coldest of mornings at work.Length wise, the socks come up to just below my knee cap and did not dig in around the top.The pattern and the colour combinations are lovely and eye-catching without being too gordy or in your face. And with the bold colour bring displayed only around the shin area, these socks can be worn by myself under my work trousers with only the black and grey being visible to the eye.Would definitely recommend these for both comfort and warmth.
2.0 out of 5 stars Mid-Calf Disappointment
These Niorasen Merino Wool Ski Socks offer a nice aesthetic! They manage to keep my feet warm, albeit not as cushioned around the heel and toes as I had anticipated. Given that the description mentioned "thick fully cushioned snow socks" with "reinforced toes," I expected something delightfully thick. That said, at £14.99 for two pairs made from a Merino wool blend, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. What I enjoy most is the generous ankle space - perfect for those of us with larger ankles. However, I was a bit dismayed by their length. They hit me mid-calf instead of knee-high, which feels quite disappointing when they're supposedly meant for size 9-15 feet, likely catering to taller people too. While I think they're perfectly fine overall, I must admit that the mid-calf length doesn't quite do it for me, and visual appeal is terribly important when I choose my clothes.
