Drinking Chocolate - Salted Caramel Milk Chocolate 250g
Salted caramel milk hot chocolate. Dose four heaped teaspoons in your favourite mug, pour in 200ml of steaming hot milk, stirring briskly for 40 seconds, sit back, relax and enjoy.
Also suitable with hot chocolate milk frother equipment.

The media could not be loaded. Prefer this to the hotel chocolat ones and its so much more reasonable in price. Works amazingly in the velvitiser and tastes great, highly recommend!

Chose the 'Intense Dark' version and it's lovely but unusual, both very sweet and slightly bitter. The idea is that you melt these chocolate flakes into warm milk and then whizz it, with either a velvetiser or a briskly stirred spoon, to a smooth luxurious hot drink - and that works perfectly well. Unusually the chocolate flavour of this reminds me of those artisan chocolate bars that are sprinkled with salt crystals, the flavour somehow asks to be slightly salted. So...I like to make ice cream at home and experiment with ingredients and flavours, so I made an ice cream custard using these chocolate flakes, evaporated milk, little bit more sugar, little bit of Cacao powder and a few Himalayan salt crystals. Once frozen and churned I crunched up some salted pretzels and stirred those through the finished ice cream, just to go completely over the top. It was terrible and I don't recommend it at all. That last bit might be a lie.

Looking for a decent real chocolate hot chocolate, I thought this would be a great choice. It is delicious and the consistency is perfect. However, at 50 g of sugar per 100 g of product it's rather too sweet to be more than a very occasional treat. It was disappointing that nowhere on the page could I see the nutritional information before I bought it. It is also a little bit misleading to say in the description that they use 'less sugar' in their recipe. Personally I'm after half what they're using if at all possible. I am open to buying the 70% cocoa content but I really would want to know what I'm buying beforehand to avoid excess sugar so the description really just has to be improved.

Usually we’ll have just the basic galaxy powder so this was a proper treat to try. Don’t be tempted to just throw heaped spoons into a mug like you would with the powder as this is actual little flakes of the chocolate, so melts very nicely and becomes quite rich and sweet with just the base amount needed. My husband found it a bit too sweet for his taste but my son and I loved it. Makes the rainy day school runs feel a lot better getting home to have a mug of this! It’s lasting longer than I thought it would too as there isn’t loads in the pack compared to its size.

…..This made a lovely drink in my milk frother, but I did find it much too sweet. Too much sugar in the chocolate I’m afraid. My personal view is that it is unnecessary to have this much sugar in a chocolate drink productIt will not go to waste though, as I will drink it, but unfortunately it is not something I would order again or recommend

I was delighted to have the opportunity to test this as part of the Bolo Vine program!We have a Velvetiser from the brand Hotel Chocolat at home, and coincidentally we were running out of sachets, so this came at the absolute perfect timing!Of course, you don't need to have one of those to make this, you can use a microwave or the hob or even a milk frother would work.You add 35g (8 heaped teaspoons) to 220ml of milk (we use Skimmed B.O.B milk), and for us it's done in our hot chocolate maker in a couple of minutes.Once the chocolate was ready I sprinkled a handful of the grated chocolate from the bag and some squirty cream as a topper!What an ABSOLUTE TREAT this was! This is very comparable to higher-end brands, it's beautiful, rich, creamy and tastes super luxurious, it's literally liquid perfection!This is a huge bag at 250g, so you can make just over 7 drinks with this, this makes it on par with the cost of the bigger brand if not slightly cheaper. You can of course use less or more of this if you prefer your hot chocolate more indulgent or slightly weaker.It has a really good date on it (expires on 30/01/2026), and comes in a resealable pouch!I also love the fact that this is made in GB.I absolutely cannot fault it, such a beautiful and indulgent drink.Grab a bag you will not be disappointed!5/5 - Excellent Product!

This was not what I was expecting. I couldn’t wait to try this but was so disappointed. It had a bitter after taste and honestly I feel that I’ve wasted my money.

This hot chocolate came well packaged and looks of very good quality. it is handmade and has very good ingredients, the texture is not powder but is made of small pieces of chocolate which when mixed with warm milk melt very well and create that hot chocolate which has a fantastic taste. The package contains 250g of chocolate, which is not much for its price, but I think the good quality justifies it. It is very easy to prepare and I personally did not add sugar because it was pretty sweet on its own, it's good to follow the fixed weight because if we add more chocolate, it will be more sweet. Now that the weather is getting colder we can enjoy a hot chocolate while are watching a movie on the sofa.
