5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, a bit pricey but probably worth it.
I almost lost this pan before I even had a chance to season it, my GF has a friend who has a similar pan and she has wanted one for a while now.I carefully seasoned the pan following the instructions provided. Much like a good cast iron pan these pans cook very much better when properly seasoned so it's well worth the time spent on it, I recommend doing it well before you actually want to cook a meal rather than leaving it until the last minute, it's not a difficult process but it's not something you want to rush either.I always try a new pan with the same thing, butter fried eggs, slightly overcooked just to give them every opportunity to stick, I also get the pan just a bit too hot before unceremoniously dumping an egg in it.This pan shrugged it off, I might as well have tried to get a block of ice to stick to it for all it cared. The pan is an impressive thing, it's a good weight, the steel body is 3mm at the rim and it sports a solid cast aluminium handle held on with steel rivets that would do a steam ship proud so it's safe to say this was designed to last and deal with the kind of knocking around pans so often encounter in both domestic and professional kitchens. In spite of its weight it feels comfortable in the hand and the brushed aluminium style finish of the handle disguises a surprisingly grippy surface rather than the satiny smooth you'd expect to find. The other advantage of an all metal construction is of course that it can be used in the oven as well as on the hob which expands the cooking opportunities rather. All in all it's a good pan, certainly a step up from some I've owned in the past.It is a bit on the pricey side, but considering the quality and the fact that this one is built like a tank and if it's looked after (no steel utensils please) it should last a good long time it's going to outlast several cheaper ones so I reckon it's probably worth the extra.Five stars, I'd give it more if I could.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great for cooking risottos in
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this frying pan out of curiosity more than anything …..I wouldn’t normally spend so much on a single pan, so I was interested to see how it would compare with my go-to Teflon frying pan. And this one IS impressive! Firstly, it’s incredibly non-stick, which means less oil, so healthier frying. It’s also a good heavy weight-so hasn’t deformed or bowed, meaning that you get a good even fry throughout the pan every time. And mine has been through the dishwasher numerous times now, and is showing no signs of wear to the inner surface. On the negative side, although it’s a lovely non-stick pan, because of the rounded edge shape and its deep sides, I find it really difficult to fry eggs in it, as you end up chasing them round the pan with a spatula and can’t get them out! That said, it has become my pan of choice for cooking risottos…. the high sides mean that there’s ample room for a 4-serving risotto, and it’s an absolute breeze to wash afterwards.
3.0 out of 5 stars not non-stick..
The WEEKETT Nonstick Frying Pan has a great design with long edges that accommodate larger volumes, making it versatile for various cooking tasks. However, the thin base tends to burn my food quickly, which was disappointing during my first use. Unfortunately food also sticks to it easily. I had high hopes, but it didn’t meet my expectations.
5.0 out of 5 stars more than a frying pan...
I was actually surprised at the depth of this pan as I was expecting something much shallower. This product is more than a frying pan, it can easily replace a wok, it's good for stir frying loads of veg, rice. Better still it is good for souse vid bags, boiling pasta and even making enough stew for four people. It will be a waste if this pan is used only for frying as it can do so much more. It is made to a good quality satndard, it's strong, easy to clean and will last many a year if looked after. To clean this pan one should not use any abrasives such as those green pads. A simple sponge or wet cloth with a little mild detergent (washing up liquis) is all that is needed. Simply wipoe the pan then rinse. One thing I will advise is that although it is supposed to be "dishwasher safe" the reality is that it actually isn't. As with all iron, steel, stainless steel products it is not a good thing to use a dishwasher as dishwashers are too harsh and the chemicals do cause oxidation thus even stainless steel will get some rust spots. Any ferrous metals should be treat carefully. To wash this correctly simply wipe, rinse then dry off immediately with a soft cloth / tea towel. Never leave ferrous metals to drip dry on a drainer. As this product is much more than what I expected, is good quality and it certainly delivers good value I am recommending it for almost any type of stove top cooking.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good
This 9.5-inch non-stick skillet has a non-stick coating that makes it easy to flip and remove food, reducing sticking problems when cooking. Stainless steel makes the pot durable and easy to clean, and it washes well in the dishwasher. The pan is designed with safety in mind, and the handle that keeps it cool makes cooking more comfortable and less prone to hot hands. At the same time, this frying pan is suitable for use in the oven, expanding its variety of cooking methods. However, the weight of the writing pot may be slightly heavier, and it needs to be adapted to use. Overall, this frying pan performs well in terms of performance, design and ease of use, making it a utility worth having in the kitchen.
