5.0 out of 5 stars Very well made portable keyboard
This keyboard has a very good tactile keyboard at least as far as portable keyboards go. The keys really feel like they "pop" when you type. It also has a certain weight to it that makes it very stable on the desk and doesn’t bounce around no matter how hard you type.Pairing this with a machine is trivial and wenbt through seamlessly. And you can switch with a simple shortcut key with almost no noticiable delay when going to the next device. I am not a big fan of having apps for various things and so am not commenting on needing an app to configure the special shortcut keys. But I can say that they work just fine as normal keys.My biggest issue with this keyboard is the non-standard layout. It takes a lot of getting used to. I typed this entire review on the keyboard and as long as typed the normal characters this was fine. However the moment I wanted to move around the cursor using arrow keys or home / end etc I went on entering different keys that I wanted to. Also the weight that provides this so much stability also means that it is heavier than a lightweight key would be, but I still prefer this feeling. Also, not a pro or con, but the keyboard comes with a place to store a dongle, but the keyboard doesn’t come with one. Not sure why that is there and if there is a different version that also has a dongle in addition to bluetooth.Listed Price when I reviewed it: £49.99(Disclaimer: I received this for free as part of the Bolo Vine program, but the views here are based on my own experiences and not edited or influenced by anyone)
4.0 out of 5 stars Super stylish, excellent quality
A top quality keyboard from Logitech.I love the style, layout is standard but keys are rounded, low profile chiclets. It’s GREAT to type on. Mainly by virtue of its bulk.. For a compact board this is super sturdy, heavy and dense. The plastics feel and look nice, I appreciate the use of recycled materials. I got the graphite and lime green variant, I think it looks brilliant. Being compact, it’s good for smaller workspaces but the layout is sensible and you do still get a full row of function keys. It’s a Bluetooth board, no problem with connecting and performance overall is what you’d expect from a premium manufacturer. I have to say though, this feels like a premium board even by Logitech standards, build quality is a step up on some of their other wireless compact boards, I use an old K400 daily which still functions very well but feels like a toy next to the POP ICON.I like it very much but is it worth £50? I think that’s a lot to pay for what is quite a basic board. No internal rechargeable battery, no LED backlighting, no integrated trackpad, it’s a membrane board priced like some entry level mechanical boards.
5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant Keyboard for Mac Users!
This is a really high-quality keyboard for macOS and iPadOS. The build is excellent—it's a metal full-size keyboard with no flex in this long unit. The keys have slightly rounded corners, which I haven’t used before, but I find them very comfortable for typing. It features a full number pad and a dedicated navigation section. The scissor keys are quiet and feel lovely when typing. Even the SpaceBar is quiet, which is something that often falls short on cheaper keyboards. This is a Bluetooth-only keyboard, so it’s not wired, and it’s NOT compatible with Windows. Its 650mAh USB-C rechargeable battery should keep it going for up to 2 months, depending on usage. A USB-C cable is included. The battery-saving feature puts the keyboard to sleep after 10 minutes of inactivity, and any key press wakes it up in under 3 seconds. The backlighting on this keyboard is done very well. With three brightness levels controlled by a dedicated key, there’s no need to use the Fn key to adjust brightness. It looks very pleasant and is definitely bright enough to see in a dark room or on that late red-eye flight. After 90 seconds of non-activity, the backlighting turns off but lights up again with any key press. The only downside I’ve noticed is that there’s no tilt-height adjustment, and it has only a slight tilt angle. However, it’s still very comfortable to use, and for me, that’s not a major issue.Overall, this is an attractive and functional keyboard that ticks all the right boxes. I thoroughly enjoy using it on my iPad Air 5 for my writing. I highly recommend this keyboard!
3.0 out of 5 stars A great typing experience but is very thick and the green stands out too much
This is a very comfortable keyboard to type on, the keys have a nice and quick response rate and aren't very soft; they have a nice crisp feedback when pressed fully out. Every keystroke allows your fingers to be guided into the key with its concave design which is very easy to navigate. The keyboard can be used with windows and Mac os which is great for me especially when using multiple devices, however, travelling with this keyboard is very difficult because of the weight and bulk of the keyboard, the keyboard is very thick and fortis size quite heavy. The keyboard also has green buttons to the left which make it stand out, which is something to keep in mind if you want to use this in a professional environment. The plastic bezel around the keyboard doesnt give it a premium feel and reflects light off it easily which is distracting in a well lit office environment. The keyboard overall has a great typing experience, but it's difficult to recommend it for professional use because of its design, thickness and weight.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good functionality, but neither fish nor fowl
I like this keyboard, and have a Logitech MX Keys keyboard, so didn’t have to install the Logi app. This is principally best suited for travel (or a restricted work space), owing to its compressed layout. But it is on the heavy side for a portable keyboard, which is to say that anything over 16oz becomes a liability for travelling, and this is more like 20oz (680g). I like that the keys are programmable, but you then have to sacrifice your home/end/page up/page down keys, which are all keys that I use regularly. And the multiple icons all over the keys either side of the space bar are simply confusing. Add to this that the Logi app is distinctly unfriendly, and it is impossible to give this keyboard the 5 stars it might otherwise deserve, if consideration were based solely on construction.
