these aluminium led profile diffusers are designed for installing flush with the face of a plasterboard wall during boarding-out. I guess that they could be retrofitted with a considerable amount of work by cutting out the existing plasterboard to accommodate the profile and then filling back in with strips of plasterboard, a skim of filler, sanding flush and repainting.Once fitted thee led strip is inserted in the channel and the diffuser clipped over.Versatile uses, either in-ceiling to provide a long strip of illumination, for ecample along a corridor, nearer to the wall to provide a downwash of light, or in wall to provide a vertical strip of diffused light for illumination of as a contemporary featureThe profiles can be cut to length as required using a fine toothed saw.£40 for a pack of 6 x 1 metre lengths at the time of my review.

Excellent quality, nicely designed for the purpose and they look smart once inlayed.My only concern with these is how they are compressed together inside of the box. It was a job to release them because they're so tightly packed and the plastic diffuser rides directly against the profile. Mine had a number of scratches, some sizeable on the protective plastic of the profile. Nothing got through to the plastic below, but i don't know if that was luck or not. I think it's a bad idea and poorly thought out. It seems to be more about fitting more boxes on a pallet in a warehouse than caring if it arrives in the same quality it left the factory.Really very good with the above grumble, 4 stars.

We had a similar set of these at the start of the year but was slightly short by about 8 feet. We are still in the process of renovating, so when this popped up, I grabbed right away in the hope that it would be compatible with our current ones. Thankfully they are and it slotted in fine with the current recess strips and allowed up to be able to complete the strips. It’s then just a case of slotting in your led light strips and then you can plaster over the frame work to make it look like the LED strips are perfectly flush with your ceiling. Does the job absolutely perfect and the price is very fair for what you get!
