    Very impressed by this humidor. It comes very well protected, which is good because the finish of the wood is really very smooth. The whole thing looks great quality, and has everything you need to get started. My brother is an occasional cigar smoker who likes to have a stock of really good cigars in, for when friends come around. He loves the whole ritual of it, and has two full humidors already (he tends to buy four or so cigars if he sees some he likes, and doesn’t smoke them nearly as often as he buys them!), so this will be a great gift for him.Cedar is of course the wood of choice for storing cigars. It holds moisture, so not only helps to keep the humidity nicely regulated, but it also has natural properties which slows decay of your precious tobacco (as well as insect repelling properties). It also helps the cigars to mellow and improve with age, rather than just holding them dormant--that's the reason you want a humidor; to improve your tobacco, rather than just store it. This box seems to be a cedar wood exterior with a peach wood interior, which is raw wood, as it should be. The hygrometer comes with battery fitted, and seems to do well. I’m afraid I don’t have another random hygrometer that I can put in beside it to test its accuracy, but it seems a decent quality one.It also has the humidifier included, and as with the cedar wood thing, I know from my bro’s constant explanations that you need to use either distilled water, or specially bought crystals inside these, to maintain that magical optimal storage condition of 70% humidity. Humidifier units will have a sponge or a piece of floral foam or even moisture retaining beads inside, and you soak the unit in distilled water (to avoid introducing minerals and mold into the sealed unit of the humidor, where they would multiply in that lovely damp atmosphere and quickly cause mould on your very expensive tobacco! Propylene glycol works even better). My brother’s a fan of Cigar Sally Crystal Gel, which comes in little tubs, and lasts a good while. This one also has a little wooden divider that you can use to keep the humidifier separated from your cigars (useful, as you don’t want the cigar nearest to it to be getting damp).I think unless you smoke very thin-rolled cigars, for most people this is going to hold 20 cigars. It’s a great size to sit on a table top and just look good. As I said, the finish is excellent, and the glass is well fitted and airtight. The lid closes with a nice seal, and the rather nice brass hinges hold it open at any angle and lend a very high-end air to the box.To me this is a really nice box with everything you need included, ready to go; just season it for two weeks (you have to do that with any humidor), and sling in your cigars (or if you’re my brother, nestle them lovingly, whilst breathing deep of that glorious tobacco scent; your choice).In all, this is a nice quality box and a really great gift for any cigar aficionado. Good price for a great box.

    Wir bekommen für relativ wenig Geld einen vollwertigen kleinen Humidor, der vollkommen überzeugt. Das wichtigste an einem Humidor ist das Zedernholz im inneren - was außen drum ist hat keinen Einfluss auf die Zigarren. So stört es mich überhaupt nicht dass außen kein Echtholz sondern "nur" Furnier verwendet wurde. Der Befeuchter funktioniert, ist aber nicht der beste - lässt sich aber bei Bedarf einfach austauschen. Das Hydrometer mit Thermometer zeigt zuverlässig das Klima im Humidor an, und durch das Glasfenster gibt es auch einen Blick auf die Zigarren.Ein Muss für jeden Zigarren-Raucher!

    Der Humidor ist einfach aufgebaut und verrichtet sauber seinen Dienst. Die Oberfläche ist sehr sauber (und glatt) gearbeitet, und auf der Innenseite sieht das Zedernholz ebenfalls vernünftig verarbeitet aus und weist vor allem eine ausreichende Stärke auf.Die Angaben des Hygrometers decken sich nahezu 100% mit denen meines externen Messgeräts, so dass auch hier eine gute Funktionalität zu bestehen scheint.Untern Strich ein preiswerter kleiner Humidor mit vielen Features und einer vernünftigen Qualität.
