4.0 out of 5 stars Too small for the average adult but good for kids
This is a nice fold down scooter for kids - it's nice and sturdy and folds down for storage or transport. On arrival there is some minor assembly required which only takes minutes to do.There is adjustibility in the height of the handlebars making it suitable for a range of ages but it's definitely not an adult scooter. I'm 6ft and 80kg and it's too small for me - I definitely wouldn't be commuting to work on it because I'd look like I was taking my sons scooter to work! The wheels all run smoothly and the brake works well. It's a decent scooter but just for kids in my opinion.
3.0 out of 5 stars Ok
Description is a bit misleading as it says it’s for adults too but definitely only for kids. It’s not the best quality scooter I’ve seen either. It looks okay and folds down well. Decent size and height for a 8-12 year old. Overall just ok
5.0 out of 5 stars I really like this scooter and would say the age range really is suitable from 8 years up to adult
I really like this scooter and would say the age range really is suitable from 8 years up to adult, bearing in mind the suggest rider weight limit of 100kg.The deck of the scooter is on the smaller side but still ample sized to get both feet on. I like this though as that helps to make this a properly portable foldable scooter. I find with some of the bigger scooters that fold and claim to be portable that when folded they are still like carrying a bike sized object. Not the case with this (please see photos with review of the scooter folded down). The scooter itself is well made with adjustable handlebar that can be adjusted to height suitable for tall people. I am 5ft 11” and on highest handlebar setting this is easily high enough and probably too high for me.I also really like the graphics on the top of the deck (please see photos). The ride itself is decent. With the bearings in the wheels quiet and seem pretty fast. Time will tell how they last once done some miles but initial performance is good, particularly for a cooter in this price range.
4.0 out of 5 stars Smaller then in pictures
Whilst this scooter by Hyiatyo looks great, has nice big wheels and an overall aesthetic design it falls short quite literally of being as pictured. The scooter comes mainly assembled needing the wheel put on, whilst the tools are included it's a little fiddly even for myself who loves to tinker with mechanical items. Once the wheel is connected the bars need clicking into upright position then the handle bars connecting, these two bits aren't too tricky and pretty straightforward. The handlebar hight and foot deck is small for an adult (size 9 shoes). It does feel solid when riding about and the larger wheels make it a little more slow at turning and manoeuvring. However compared to scooters I've used previously with small wheels this does ride the bumps in the road much nicer, providing a smoother ride.I'd say this would be great for mid teens and under due to size constraints.
3.0 out of 5 stars Scooter
This scooter is advertised as suitable for children and adults, I think unless you are a very small adult it is best for older kids. It wasn’t the easiest to assemble. Once built it was quite sturdy. Folds up so it’s good for travel but just disappointing about the advertised detail
4.0 out of 5 stars Ideal for kids, but not quite for adults
The Hyiatyo Lightweight Scooter is well-suited for children aged 8-12, delivering solid performance with its 200mm big wheels and smooth ride. It’s built with quality in mind and features height adjustment and a folding design, making it easy to store and transport. However, the claim that it’s also for adults is a bit misleading; it’s primarily designed for kids and might not be as comfortable for adults. Despite this, it’s a great scooter for its intended age group and deserves a 4-star rating.
5.0 out of 5 stars Child's scooter.
This is definitely a child's scooter. At time of writing the listing us confusing as it's says both adults and child. It's not big enough for adults. It's a pretty solid scooter which looks decent and folds down easily. For a child's scooter it's decent value.
3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but a lot smaller than suggested (not for adults)
This is a good looking scooter. The design is fun and it looks quite impressive. This doesn't take too long to put together, with only the front wheel needing to be installed. 2 tools are included for tightening the hub bolt, although it is quite fiddly and frustrating to line the tube up in the wheel. I ended up having to put it in place and move around with the tools. There's a weird issue with the rear hub bolt. it feels loose, yet won't tighten or loosen. I can't tell if it's a fault or meant to be like this, but it's a little odd. I'd suggest keeping an eye on this in use.The setup is easy thereafter, with the folding and locking front section. The handlebars are also decent compared to others we've used.I've only given 3 stars as this is significantly smaller than how it's portrayed in the stock photos. It also implies in the title that it's suitable for adults, but it's clearly too small for that and likely wouldn't take an adults weight. It is suitable for kids though and my nephew is enjoying riding it around. I'm giving him an opportunity ity to put it further through its paces, so will update this review in the future if there are any significant things to note.
