5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use good results
It’s far better than some cheaper resin great for a range of crafts
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use.
Good quality resin for the price, it's a simple, easy to use, 2:1 ratio by volume mix with no noticeable odour. I used it to a depth of 12cm and got a good finish with just a few micro bubbles which were OK in my piece. It was fully set and demountable in 48 hours.
4.0 out of 5 stars Set well, easy to use, self levelled.
I was worried after having read the bad reviews on here, and being a first time resin user. However, it was very straightforward (although the instructions could benefit from a little improvement). We used the 1:2 ratio, after placing the bottles in warm water for 5 minutes. We stirred well as advised for 5 minutes, and then poured without scraping the sides. It took around 48 hours drying time (it was around an inch thick). We were able to remove bubbles with a heat gun (I set a timer for 2 hours throughout the first day, left over night and did the same the following day). The smell was low.Overall really happy with the performance, ease of use, and the results thus far.
5.0 out of 5 stars Brought for shelving
i brought this kit to pour into a shelf which has a raised lip. The wood needed to be protected as the shelf will have plants on and water spill would ruin the wood. The resin is easy to mix- no vapour at all. Done inside the house with zero fume issues. You must mix thoroughly till it’s totally clear. I put on a radiator to get very warm, aids mixing and also the release of air bubbles. It does take 2 days to cure, 3 days to be hard. This is with a thin coating. Needs to be left up to a week before use. So works well and would use again.
5.0 out of 5 stars All good, works well on the “river wooden cake stand”
I bought this to fill some cracks in a wooden cake stand i was making for a wedding.I added colouring to my resin, so i can not say how clear the final result would be, however the final results i had with it were great. No air bubbles, easy to mix, add colour and use.The resin once mixed had a good long working time, i found that after 1 hour the mixture was thinking up, but i was well done with my resin pour by then.I found that using plasticine to made dams whilst pouring the resin worked well and did not harm the hardening process of the resin. After 9-12 hours the resin was very soft and could take a finger print when pressed. After 24 it was fulled cured.Once fully cured it was easy to work with, cutting tools were fine with it, it was easy to sand and came up very nice when using hight grit sanding pads. You can get. Loverly shine with it.I am defo going to use this product again for more word working project and i have several things in mind for crafts and miniature model too.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent resin
I struggled to find a good resin when I first started using it, but then I tried this brand and can give it nothing but praise. I have used a few different resins for different projects from this company and have always had perfect results. I recommend using their website to learn how to get the best results.
3.0 out of 5 stars May be good for small project but not for river tables
I have tried using this on 3 occasions and each time, I have so many bubbles that its almost impossible to get rid of them. Deep pour resin should be close to the viscosity of water but this is far too thick. I have tried leaving the resin containers in warm water but its still has thousands of bubbles. It does however cure very solid and is fine if you want to do black rivers or rivers with rich colors, but if you want to do transparent rivers, a strange mist occurs after about 18 hrs of curing which you cannot get rid of. Its a shame as I have excellent results with the table top resin from the same company.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works well
Great product, I used it for a coffee table top, and it worked well
Easy to work with perfect results
Was looking for an epoxy that was more price competitive than some of the more well known brands. After a bit of Bolo research I decided to give Craft Resin a try on a few cutting boards I was making out of a piece of burled maple. I believe the manufactures recommended dry times are very conservative. Instructions say fully cured after 3 days, heck this stuff was hard as a brick after 2 days, so I popped tis out of the mold a day early. If you follow the directions as stated it works perfect, it mixes thin as deep pour epoxy should. I had no air bubbles since I had stirred it slowly by hand. Only thing I did different form instructions was stir for 15 minutes rather than the 3 to 5 in the instructions and that was only because I was adding orange die and was working that into the epoxy until I got the tint I was looking for. It has a long working time of nearly 1 hour 45 minutes. I have a few more projects coming and will be using this again. I saw some negative reviews about not curing but it had to be not following directions, I would discount those reviews. Attached photos are the final result.
Very clear
When mixed properly, this is crystal clear is dry to the touch in 48 hour’s and cures hard as a rock in about 5 days.
Crystal clear, low bubbles and very low odor.
I have always used Artresin but it has become very expensive. Craft Resin is very comparable to Artresin with the exception that it is a little thinner than Artresin. So far I am very happy with Craft Resin.
used to recreate a corner of a plastic shutter eaten up by mice
Had a weird size window shutter that had fallen off. While sitting in the garage, mice chewed a corner off. Used this resin to rebuild the corner. Worked fine.
Worked for model railroad “lake”
First time using a pourable epoxy. It’s a bit messy to mix and pour (be sure to wear protective gloves) but despite that it was great. Mixing did not create a lot of bubbles and those that did appear were easily eliminated after the pour by blowing breath over the surface through a small hose. Pour was smooth and self-leveled fairly quickly. Surface was no longer sticky after about 18 hours at 72 degrees F. Based upon a small test pour I’d guess the full pour was more or less fully cured at the thickest point (1.5”) in 48 hours or so.
