5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible Zoom Capability!
The Telephoto Lens 420-800mm is a fantastic addition to my Canon DSLR gear! This EF lens delivers stunning image quality with impressive zoom capabilities, allowing me to capture distant subjects with remarkable clarity. The manual focus offers precise control, perfect for wildlife and sports photography. It’s compatible with a wide range of Canon models, including the 4000D, 2000D, and 5D series, making it versatile for any photographer. Overall, a great lens for anyone looking to elevate their photography with exceptional zoom power! Highly recommended!
4.0 out of 5 stars Great telephoto lens (with practice)
This is a decent telephoto lens. Some caveats would be there’s no autofocus or image stabilisation so a tripod is a must as well as getting used to having to manually focus on things. That said it pairs great with Canon cameras(what I use) and you can get fantastic images with some practice.Well worth adding to your camera lens set
5.0 out of 5 stars Great lens for the price
Taken me a while to get to get used to this lens before I felt I could give an accurate review. I first tried to use it without reading the instructions and in my first test session got a single useable phot and many rejects. Didn't realise I needed a refresher on fully manual lenses. I have been using Canons and auto-focus lenses for at least 30 years and had forgotten what manual lenses are like.I recommend reading the instructions and setting the camera to fully manual. Select a suitable ISO speed and the fastest shutter speed can get away with and it then produces reasonable pictures. Now I remember why I owned a light meter, but don't recall seeing it since the late 1980s! To get the best results the camera needs to e on a trip-pod and roughly pre-focussed on the area you expect to take. Otherwise by the time you have the lens at the length you want and focussed you have missed what you wanted to shoot.I already own a couple of secondhand Canon L series short zooms and Tamron 100-400 and 150-600 longer autofocus zoom lenses, some of which were up ten times the cost of this lens, even secondhand, so at less than £80 this lens has something going for it. It has the longest length of any lens I have ever owned, with motors and other electronics it is by far the lightest lens in my collection, but at 800mm it has a fixed F-stop of F16 and you have to push the film speed up for much of the year, with the resulting loss of clarity.Overall, if you hanker back to being in total control, (and I know people with expensive cameras who turn off much of the help) then this is very little money to pay for a very long zoom, but be prepared for some shots not to be as expected. I think this is remarkable value but is not one of the first three lenses I pack for a trip
4.0 out of 5 stars Works as it should
Starting with build quality, I was shocked -it is decent. The mounting ring is metal, the tubes are fully extended, reach 31cm, and the finish is commendable. It fits onto my Canon 5D without concern. The telephoto adjustment is by manual pull with a locking collar, which releases and tightens smoothly. At 616g, it is light for magnification. The lens collar to attach to the tripod is more, I suspect, for stability and the length of the lens. The lock ring works and holds securely. I use the lens for star and moon gazing, not much more than that, and I have not suffered from any creep in. For the magnification range, I find a tripod (and a sturdy one) essential; slight movement will lose your image or the one you need to focus on. No surprise, it is not AF but manual. I like taking photos of the moon’s surface when the conditions are good. I have yet to try taking photos using my remote as I am confident it will make for better shots without interfering with vibration/movement. I have taken some handheld shots of the crescent moon to show magnification of 500, 600, 700 and 800mm, but sharpness would be improved had I used a tripod. It has budget glass, but for me, it is about a bit of fun without breaking the bank and passing fair. I have owned a 70-300 L lens, and it is good to know that this lens will not break your back or build your biceps. This product has more pros than cons, and the price is pitched to the occasional user who does not require high definition.
5.0 out of 5 stars works well

4.0 out of 5 stars does the job
I recently purchased the BENOISON Telephoto Lens for my Canon DSLR, and it's been a great addition to my photography gear. The zoom range of 420-800mm is impressive, allowing me to capture distant subjects with ease. The image quality is decent, with sharp details and good color accuracy. However, it's important to note that this lens is manual focus only, which can take some getting used to. It also doesn't have image stabilization, so a tripod is essential for achieving sharp images at longer focal lengths.Overall, the BENOISON Telephoto Lens is a good value for money, and it's a great option for photographers who want to capture wildlife, sports, or other distant subjects. Just be prepared for the learning curve associated with manual focus and the need for a tripod.Key features:Zoom range: 420-800mmCompatible with Canon DSLR camerasManual focus onlyNo image stabilizationDecent image qualityI would recommend this lens to photographers who are willing to put in the time to learn how to use it effectively.
5-star value, 3-star performance
Let's be clear, this is NOT a super high quality lens. However, at less than $100 this is a superb value. I have a Canon R50, and hooked this lens up via an EF-RF adapter, and everything worked as it should.I have been tossed up between getting an RF100-400 lens, or a Sigma 150-600, and I hop to use this 420-800 to help me determine whether a 400mm focal length is enough, or if I need the extra reach of a 600mm lens when looking for something with autofocus. That is my main purpose for using this lens, and afterwards, my wife can slap this on her Rebel T6.Observations1. Image clarity - Image clarify is not great, especially at 800mm, but this isn't a $2,000 lens. I've attached two images. The one of the birds is at 800mm, and the one of the dog is somewhere in the 500-600mm range. This will get you an image, but nothing you're going to blow up and hang on your wall.2. No stabilization - Unsurprisingly, there is no image stabilization. My Canon R50 also lacks image stabilization. I have found it NECESSARY to use a Bluetooth remote shutter (only a couple of bucks) and a tripod to get good results. I have not gotten good results trying to handheld shoot. At the long length, any touching of the camera can result in added blur.3. Focusing - This does work fine with Canon's "MF Peaking Setting", which will show little red dots to indicate which part of the image is in focus. This makes it much easier to manually focus!4. Lens focal length and adjustment - Adjusting the focal length of the lens is more like adjusting a spyglass telescope. There is a lock ring you loosen, and pull out the lens to increase the focal length. That being said, the lock ring doesn't fully lock down, you can still pull out the scope even if it's fully locked. The focal length itself (420-800) is quite hard to work with. At 420mm, it can be hard to find your subject, especially if it is a bird in a tree. A 150mm or even 200mm starting place would be much nicer. In doing some bird watching in the backyard, I put the camera on a fluid head tripod and that helped me to scan the trunk/branches of a tree to find the right branch with the bird on it.At less than $100, I wasn't expecting much. However, this is a perfectly useable lens for a hobbyist who wants something with a longer focal length and doesn't want to shell out thousands of dollars. I'd stick with using this in very bright conditions to maintain any clarity this lens does have. I've tried to lay out my observations and findings in using this lens to assist others, and some of the feedback may sound harsh, but I want to be clear that the image quality isn't great, but you do get a LONG lens for practically pennies.
Bon produit
l est avec un réglage manuel mais cela me convient. A voir dans le temps et en fonction de son utilisation.
Me sorprendió gratamente
Ottimo prodotto
