4.0 out of 5 stars 7” Wireless Car Screen with CarPlay & Android.
7 Inch Wireless Car Screen with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. Portable Car Stereo HD Car Play Touch Screen. Live GPS Navigation Driveplay. Car Audio Receivers with Voice Control, BT, FM, AUXCurrent Price £79.99 plus 40% Voucher Offer.Very pleased overall with this 7” Wireless CarPlay / Android Screen.Everything is in the box to get you up and running. 2 types of mount, Dash or Windscreen offer versatility re placement. Ordered this with our daughter in mind. She has a Horse Lorry that has very little re built in screens etc and has been using her Phone for Sat Nav duties. Needless to say when I showed her this she was quite excited to test it out.The list is long with what this can do! CarPlay, Android, FM Stereo, WiFi, Sat Nav (choice of maps), Local Media via TF Card, Built in Speakers, Aux Connection, FM Transmitter and the list goes on. Of course you will need to connect your Phone to get this all up and running.Build qualities not bad, a bit Plasticky but nothing drastic for sure. The screen itself is pretty good considering the price point. In fact its not bad at all. No noticeable lag. Set up is easy, just follow the instructions but once you’ve paired your device your good to go. Starts up and connects with little to no fuss.If you are looking for a good but well priced Screen for your Vehicle this may just be the one. At £47.99 with voucher offer I cannot see how this can be beaten. It’s actually pretty good even forgetting the crazy price.
5.0 out of 5 stars Seamless Wireless CarPlay Display
This 7” Wireless CarPlay display is a fantastic alternative to a traditional satellite navigation system. It is great for older car models as it has a built in speaker and microphone, so you don’t have to connect it to an AUX in if your car doesn’t have one to hear navigation alerts. It is also ideal if you don’t a complex job of installing a head-unit screen in the centre console. In the box you get the screen, two pieces of mounting hardware (a suction mount and an adhesive mount), 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable if you want to connect it to your cars speakers (provided you have an aux in) and a USB-C to cigarette lighter power cable to power it.Installation was quick and easy, I opted to use the suction cup mount which the screen clips onto. In terms of setup to get CarPlay working, I connected the screen via Bluetooth to my iPhone, and then went into CarPlay on the screen and my iPhone they both paired and it started working instantly. Now, when I get in the car, once a Bluetooth connection is stablished after a few seconds once the screen powers on, CarPlay starts automatically. As it will run off your phone wirelessly, it already has the latest maps available to it making it far better than a typical SatNav.The screen is a IPS Panel with a 1024 x 600 resolution - it’s certainly not the highest resolution but CarPlay looks quite good on it, it gets plenty bright which is important in the car on sunny days - and graphics look sharp and clear. As it runs CarPlay wirelessly, it runs at around 30 fps so you will notice some lag/choppiness if you are scrolling around - but for general use running navigation it is perfectly adequate.Overall, for the price this is a much better alternative to a normal Sat Nav. It even has other features that I didn’t mention like the ability to run Android Auto, be used as an FM radio from the car charger, play media files from a SD Card, or be an AirPlay screen to cast and mirror content on - so it can serve as a passenger entertainment screen as well. You get a lot of functionality for the money, I really can’t find anything to quibble about - so it’s an easy recommendation.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great for older cars
I feel that this unit is great for the older cars that want to keep up with the new tech. This unit will play audio via your FM radio as this will transmit an FM signal that your radio will pick up, or can pick up the audio signal via a 3.5 mm audio jack, that is if your head-unit has an input. If you head-unit has neither, then you will struggle to make best use of this.In all honesty, the audio will sound much better via the 3.5mm audio jack as I have always found that there is a lack in some of the audio frequencies on the FM side. Now for the main unit, it's got a great touch screen panel and isn't laggy. When you first power it up and go through the set up, it can have a little lag as it's still setting up in the background, but once it's all synced up, it runs flawlessly.Being android, you can install apps of your choice and enjoy music as well as navigation whilst driving in a much safer fashion than ever before. No need to handle your mobile once you have set it up via android auto. Note, you will have to spend some time on both the unit and your handset to familiarise yourself of the apps and setup before you set off driving, as you don't want to be messing about once you're mobile. Also, before you get this, check the dashboard to see if there is a suitable place to have this installed where it's not going to block your vision. This may not be suitable for cars with smaller windscreens as it will impair your visibility of the road, unless you can install on the dashboard front. When this is installed, you will see some cables, even when you try your best to hide them, they will be there, just as long is it doesn't bother you.
