5.0 out of 5 stars invaluable tool
Invaluable for precise measuring that's difficult with a ruler or tape measure, such as inside/outside circumference of an object, or the depth of a groove. Don't know how I managed without it!Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for in this instance, and I consider it really good value.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very robust and accurate
Just the jobNice and robust and easy to useExcellent quality and robustEasy to use
4.0 out of 5 stars Very good at the price,
Annoying when it switches to fractions?
5.0 out of 5 stars Very good quality
I’ve used verniers for years in engineering, and paid a fortune for them. This is fantastic quality and very good accuracy, it’s not a top brand really very very accurate one but good enough in accuracy and seems very good quality. Definitely recommend this, comes in a robust plastic case too, don’t know how they did it for under £20
5.0 out of 5 stars Does all it needs to at an amazing price
As previous reviewers have mentioned the setting wheel feels loose, but works fine. The reported problem with movement waking it up doesn't happen, maybe that was just the previous version. Accuracy checked against feeler gauges, zeros well, the depth facility is very useful for me as is the fractions function. I'm not an engineer, just a guitar tech, and this does everything I need at an amazing price. And two free spare batteries!
5.0 out of 5 stars Superb bit of kit
Easy to use, very accurate. Look after them (keep them in the case) and they'll last you a very long time
4.0 out of 5 stars Quite good and pretty accurate.
For general measuring with a bit of precision then you can't go wrong. Nice screen good size of battery and repeatable measuring. Obviously not mittutoyo accurate, but for most things and at this price, then these arnt to bad. I would recommend for general use with some precision and repeatability.
5.0 out of 5 stars Quite impressed
Great for the money so far!
Great piece for task
If your not building rockets then this is all you need. Stainless, came with batteries installed and two spares, small screw driver to install battery as needed.Zero out button is nice. Simple and functional for O.D and I.DMMam and InchesWorks good and has a plastic case to keep it from getting smashed.
Very good accuracy for the price
I got this because I recently got into 3D printing and needed a way to get better measurements. I had originally purchased a different one, but it didn't include the fractions function. Not sure that I'll use it too often, but I'd rather have the option. This kynup caliper was a reasonable price and has, so far, been great. The metal feels durable, and it slides easily for measuring. The plastic storage case is decent quality, and the included extra batteries are appreciated. The tolerances are very good. I know they're not spot on, but that's to be expected at the price. They claim accuracy +/- at no more than .04mm, which seems to be close to what I'm seeing, but it might be slightly more at larger distances. However, the accuracy has been very good for modeling 3D objects for printing. I designed a battery case for my 80V tools, so that I can use it across a couple brands of yards tools. This thing helped me get it almost exact.
Parfait !Je recommande !
Not worth the price
The product arrived already in heavily used condition with excess oil and many scratches on it. It does work and it does give accurate measurement, but the build quality is not that good. Either go for cheaper one that is as bad as this and does the job just as well or go for a more expensive one that is reliable and good quality.
I can actually read a measurement now!
I have owned and used the Brown and Sharpe measuring tools like my micrometer and calipers in the picture for more than 35 years, and they are just as good as the day I bought them. I have never owned any digital versions, always trusted mechanical or dial indicator tools. However, at this stage of the game I have a very hard time reading them, even with glasses. With these new digital calipers, I can clearly read the measurements without my glasses! The stainless is durable and heavy, and they seem well made and sturdy with no sticking or stuttering during the jaw travel. The ID and depth measurements have been spot on and it will repeatedly zero if the same thumbwheel force is applied. Speaking of the thumbwheel, it has some floppy side to side play which is disappointing for an otherwise precise feeling tool, and a definite star deduction. One pic shows a measurement on a 5mm allen wrench, and with the calipers locked it reads exactly 5mm. I like the fact that a battery was installed and was supplied with two extras for future use. I also appreciate the ease of changing measurement modes, and the fact that they included a screwdriver for accessing the battery compartment. So, all this and a decent case to store it in makes me a happy camper! The price makes these beyond a bargain! Now I must look at getting digital mike's as well.
