This compact layout removes the function row and knob, making it an ideal choice for those with limited desk space or who prefer a minimalist setup. The F65's gasket mount structure dampens vibrations and reduces noise from key presses, contributing to a stable, precise typing experience with the highly sought-after "thocky" sound enthusiasts love
  • 【Acoustic Mastery with Five-Layer Sound Dampening Materials】The F65 is engineered with a five-layer sound and shock-absorbing design, including two layers of Poron foam, an IXPE switch pad, a PET sound enhancement pad, and a bottom silicone pad. This sophisticated internal construction significantly reduces vibrations, resulting in a deep, noise-free sound profile that delivers a rich, "thocky" typing experience
  • 【Flex-Cut PC Plate and Fine-Tuned Stabilizers】The Flex-cut PC plate is designed to enhance the thocky sound profile of the F65. WHAT’S INCLUDED:EPOMKER Aula F65 KeyboardKeycap/switch PullerUSB CableInstructionsPRODUCT/THOUGHTS:This is a 65% Keyboard with a total of 67 Keys. They are using Graywood V3 switches, which is not quite the same as a Cherry Grey MX. The graywood switches are much more linear with not that much tactical feedback although there is some. You get 3 connection types with this keyboard. Wired via the USBC to A cable, Bluetooth, or you can use the 2.4ghz dongle.-The dongle is great because it doesn’t just stow away on the bottom of the keyboard like alot of other brands, instead, it has a magnetically attached slot where you can slide it in. This is one of those small things that I like to mention because sometimes the little things matter.RGB:For the Lighting you get:-15 effects-6 static colors-Several color options for the SidelightsNOTE: there is software you can get for this kb from their website but I wasn’t able to get my system to run it for some reason. So all testing I did was based on not using the company software however I would encourage you to use it if you can because it’ll make your customization possible and switching between lightning modes etc.PERFORMANCE:I found this keyboard quite comfortable. The keycaps themselves are not very high. They are almost low profile but not quiet, however, they are still tall enough to maintain alot of comfort for most people. They are about 30% shorter than a standard keycap I want to say if that gives you an idea.Something else you’ll notice about this is the top of the keys doesn’t show you the letters. They are on the front instead. It works out since most people don’t have their keyboards directly below their noses anyway. So the average angle you would have this at, still makes this highly visible for you to see what you are pressing. BUT I would say if you are a novice typer, this might be a problem for you unless you have the backlit turned on so you can light up the keys because the default text color is black and it blends in with the grey keycaps too much.-There isn’t any height adjustment on this, instead, you have the thickness and natural slope provided by the keyboard. It actually works out pretty well and is a nice default height. But that might be something you need to be aware of.I tested this keyboard with lots of gaming, word processing, and typing tests. It was pretty accurate. I never had a key not being registered. The typing experience for me came off as smooth and accurate. The gaming experience was mostly good. In terms of raw ability, it was just fine. All keys again registered well, and it was comfortable for most game types. I tested RPGs, FPS, RTS, and some testing software. This is a 65% KB though and that will affect your spacing between keys as any keyboard will be of this type so that’s your limitation along with no dedicated Fkey Row.Summary:There's alot to like about this keyboard. I was a bit skeptical at first with the front facing font type but it works out as long as you have backlighting turned on. I love that you have multiple connection types and that it’s rechargeable. This really gives you a portable experience. Theres enough RGB modes to find one that works for you, and the Graywood V3 switches they are using, are quite smooth with very little tactical feedback but still provide enough feedback to your key presses so you could use this in an office environment or other place around ppl without causing a disturbance as you get with real clicky switches. The performance was nice and even though I don’t think it was listed as Anti-Ghosting, I didn’t have any missed key presses. Can recommend it for people that want a 65% keyboard size.

    Great little mechanical keyboard

The Epomaker F65 Aula 65% keys mechanical keyboard is an excellent compact wired/wireless RGB keyboard, in fact is so good that there are barely any issues to speak of about this one. Naturally, there are a lot of positives to list about this model and as I mentioned a very few negatives, but before that a few quick words about the packing and presentation. I currently have a lot of different mechanical keyboards, but this is one of the smallest and stealthiest ones, I am impressed by the retail packaging and contents too, this model comes in a retail box that is not outlining all the key features, at least not in details and company information too, it looks good and feels very premium. Inside the box, there is the keyboard, a very good user manual in English, metal keycaps removal tool combo with keys removal tool, USB-A to USB-C cable, two extra keys and plastic dust cover.Positives:- Compact, portable and easy to carry - The small footprint 65% keys size is great, especially if you are working on a smaller desk or if you are planning on traveling with it, it is perfect.- Functionality - the keyboard can be used wired and wireless with a 2.4G wireless receiver, with Bluetooth connection, and wired as well, it can be connected to any computer that has an available USB port or it has Bluetooth connectivity. Personally I prefer using it wired as the latency is great while gaming and I don't need to worry about the battery life. Speaking of battery life, the built-in battery is rated at 4000mah and it can last a long time, 60 days with BT with the RGB lights off, furthermore even over a month with the wireless option, depending on the usage that time can be extended or shortened.- RGB backlight across the whole keyboard keys - There are a lot of different RGB backlight modes that you can cycle from, you can also increase and decrease the speed and the light intensity, and if you are a fan of single color backlights, there is an option for that too, for those that don't like RGB or any light, it can be completely switched off as well.- Detachable, not too soft and not braided USB cable - the included cable is a good quality one, unfortunately not too soft but long enough, it's length is about 5 feet, and because it's detachable, you can always pick up a longer one and replace it.- Inexpensive - for the functionality and options offered, the price tag of under $50 is great, very competitively priced.- Good sticky rubber feet on the bottom, but unfortunately the rear ones are not able to be raised up from the desk on two different stages, but those included rubber feet are preventing the keyboard from sliding on your desk surface.- Physical switch on the top of the keyboard to turn off and on the wireless mode.- Two different mechanical gasketed switches, and two different color scheme caps and body - I decided to go with the Reaper Switch, and they are very good, responsive and silent, there is an additional choice of Greywood V3 Switch they are also pretty responsive.- Good quality ABS plastic key caps in several colors.- Five layer sound dampening material for silent operation.- 1000Hz polling rate and low-latency connections, when using a wired connection.- RGB on the side of the keyboard in addition to the stealthy keycaps.- Left side has a USB-C port for connection, making it easier to route around your desk.Negatives:- The provided cable is a bit stiff, but that is more nitpicking than actual negative.- No extra key caps provided in the package.- No display or dedicated volume knob.Overall, I love this keyboard, It has plenty of functionality, good backlight option and comfort.

Fantastic 65% and I love it

Out of the box this F65 sounds incredible, from the switches to the stabilizers it is so on target and amazes me. I hardly ever receive a keyboard that does not need something to make it better but the F65 is an exception to that experience and it is exceptional too.The F65 comes loaded with Tri-mode 2.4Ghz, Bluetooth and Wire Type C to type A for versatile connectivity and it is backed by a 4000mAh battery that will keep your keyboard off the grid a couple days or more even with RGB on and much longer with backlights off.The PCB is hot swap and it supports 3/5 pin switches and also has south facing LEDs. I love the side printed PBT keycaps with these LEDs shining through and I can clearly see in day light and night, they are brilliantly bright and beautiful. As well the keycaps are rather sturdy they look like 1.5mm to me but I do not have a caliper to confirm. I know most are not happy about the side printed keycaps but they are amazing and I would definitely keep these on because they look great and the sound profile is just delicious! The F65 is gasket mounted but it does not feel super flexible to me and I pressed kind of hard on the board and it did not give at all. That may be a con to some but it is not to me because it is very comfortable to type on. The F65 is also full NKRO which is a plus for gamers and typists that may hit several keys at once and have results they did not intend. The keyboard has 5 layers of sound dampening and it works great in my opinion. I do not like loud, hollow or thin sounding keyboard cases and this is none of those. It sounds perfect in my experience with just a hint of poppiness. Not annoying or undesirable in any way.The F65 is compatible with Win/Mac/iOS and Android with no mention of Linux but it may also work with Linux. Someone with a distro can test that out and let others know I hope. Some notable features are the side light RGB present on left and right lower case. You can easily change it with FN+Right Shift plus other function combos that can make the light act in other ways. It's super nice you can control the side lights independently and all the FN settings are in the manual. Then you have some FN settings that can make other changes like FN+Left Control and access the F1-F12 with out pressing the FN key every time you want to use any F Row keys. Go back to numerics 1 - 0 by FN+Left Control again. This along with other combos that are default out of the box are very welcome to see and are time savers, easy to learn and forward thinking by the engineers that designed the keyboard. I just love the way they did this board all the way through, it's like they thought of everything. This may be a compact board but it is a powerful tool at your fingertips.Having all the FN shortcuts built in make the F65 awesome already but then you can use the software for further customizations. You can download it from Epomaker's site and I have done so and can say that it is not bad at all. It's actually rather simple and easy but...I'd love if there was VIA compatibility and I hope that the next version offers that. Other than that this is an incredible 65% keyboard and I truly love everything about it. You are not getting CNC aluminum but honestly it feels well built and is quite heavy for plastic. What you do not get from the F65:*No QMK/VIA support*No flip feet to raise the height*No knob or screen*Constructed of plastic but not cheap, thin plasticIf those things don't turn you off to the F65 then I'd highly recommend trying this keyboard. I genuinely am so pleased with the F65 that I consider it as a daily use keyboard that is quite at home on my desk. It is just that good, it sounds and feels incredible to use, has wonderful out of the box programming and the price is just right.

Very nice 65% keyboard, only minor complaints about software

The media could not be loaded. I'm not a keyboard expert by any means, but I've been using a CM Storm Quickfire Stealth mechanical keyboard with cherry MX red switches for a decade now. I've always preferred these quiet and smooth switches over something like the Cherry MX blues and browns with their distinct "click" sound and feel for both typing, gaming, and general application usage. In this regard, this EPOMAKER keyboard with it's "reaper" switches are almost indistinguishable from the feel of my Cherry MX red keyboard's switches. Putting the two keyboards side by side I can't tell the difference in actuation weight or actuation distance between the two switches. Maybe it's there, but just too subtle for my untrained senses. The EPOMAKER keyboard does have the added benefit of having a gasket under it. This makes the keystrokes sound far more muted and creamy in comparison to my Quickfire Stealth that had a bit of a louder and hollow sound to it's keystrokes. This keyboard also has the added advantage of offering both wired and wireless capabilities (in both 2.4Ghz through an included USB dongle and bluetooth). The 2.4Ghz wireless works well and seems as responsive as my wired keyboard. Switching from a wired M+Kb to wireless has been fantastic both practically and aesthetically for my desk setup.Speaking of desk setup, I often use a drawing monitor positioned front and center on a rather narrow (4ft wide) desk. This blocks the entire center of my desk and often requires I position my keyboard off to the side/behind the monitor. The very small form factor of a 65% keyboard has been fantastic for this since tenkeys end up making the keyboard too wide and getting in the way and hurt the ergonomics of the desk.Giving up the F1-12 keys wasn't a big deal for me since you can just combine the Fn + number keys as a quick substitute. However I did find it a bit annoying that there was no easy way to replace the tilde (~) and grave (`) keys with this keyboard's software. The software doesn't include these particular keys as options for re-mapping and the only way I found around this was to plug in a 2nd keyboard (with the grave/tilde key) and use that keystroke in the EPOMAKER software's "Key Combination" to give the Esc key the tilde as a secondary function. It wasn't a problem for me since I have multiple keyboards, but could be a problem if this is the only keyboard you have and you need those keys. I hope EPOMAKER includes these keys in their next software update and/or includes Fn+Esc and Fn+shift+Esc as baked-in shortcuts for them.In the box also includes a generic USB-C cable (for wired use/charging), a puller, 2 replacement switches, and basic instructions. Software is downloaded from the EPOMAKER website. The keyboard works out of the box and the software is only required for additional customization. The software seems good. You can customize the individual key colors, though I have noticed the colors shown in the software aren't always reflected perfectly on the actual keyboard. It seems like the colors have a tendency towards white. I can get generally close to the exact target color, but it takes a lot of back and forth visual adjustment, rather than just inputting the target hex code. The moving light patterns are also restricted to either 1 color or the full rainbow. You can't have the colors shift between multiple custom colors, like green and blue. It's all or one. Otherwise there's a fair bit of LED customization as well as options for modifying the function of keys to other keyboard keys, macros, multimedia functions, and running basic desktop commands like "show desktop", "close window", and "save". It also has an option for making the key backlights pulse to match your computer's sound system. Personally, I just keep the backlight on a single static color since I find anything else distracting.Overall I'm very happy with this keyboard and will be switching over to it fulltime from my CM Storm.

A great value on a great budget board

    K.N. · 14 October 2024

For the price (I even see a 20% off coupon right now), you get a board that comes with three modes of connections and some excellent sound and feel. The keycaps are side printed, so you get the nice shinethrough from its south facing RGB, which is awesome for those who don't like the distracting top-side legends because maybe it's too glaring to look at in the dark. The keyboard is very comfortable to type on and is perfectly positioned in that mid-range budget lineup.
