This set presents itself as an engaging arts-and-crafts activity that keeps children quietly engaged, and helps with hand-eye coordination and patience as well but playfully.The Mandala Diamond Notebooks come with a vibrant assortment of sparkly diamonds and gems. These are clearly labeled with corresponding numbers and letters, that they attach to the books sticky pad. This allows the children to follow the set mandala patterns on their notebooks with relative ease. This is great because there is no messy glue involved, so the cleanup is minimal but it does take away any personal creativity.Nevertheless, the kids were excited as they saw the patterns come to life as they added the stones to the decently sized leather-covered notebooks/ The notebook pages are blank which is particularly appealing, as it encourages writing and doodling in their special book.The whole decorating process took nearly an hour, and from a personal standpoint, the activity proved to be wonderfully peaceful. As they had to place each get or diamond with care, they got really into do the job right.We really enjoyed the Dromlag Diamond Art Kit for enhancing manual skills, focus and patience. As well as for parents seeking a quieter, enjoyable educational activity for their children, this is a big yes for those who value arts and crafts or are looking for constructive ways for younger children to create something that is very visually appealing as well as practical to use.

My daughter and I loved this set, you get two beautiful books bound in faux leather, the covers of the books themselves have the numbers and letters for the gems but also lots of lovely coloured swirls and accents that set the finished look off perfectly.These took a couple of hours each and are really very easy to do, you get a great effect without much effort if you ask me. My 9 year old and I spent a very pleasant afternoon doing these and we are pleased with the results. The books aren’t very thick in themselves, I think they are 50 pages each but that makes no difference to us. You could box these up and present them as beautiful hand made gifts.Great price and quality, I would recommend!

This item was selling at £14.99 when I requested it. At the time of writing, there is a 15% off voucher available.Positives: Arrives in a box with safety guidance and instructions printed on the back of the box. Everything required to complete the project is provided. 2 lined note books with flexible plastic jackets. Attractive designs with good sized numbers and plenty of pretty diamonds to complete both projects. Good for developing hand/eye coordination, fine motor skills, patience, planning and creativity.Negatives: The notebooks are very difficult to open flat without breaking the spine. As with all diamond painting kits, there is one sheet of cellophane protecting the sticky surface, which makes it difficult to place the same coloured diamonds before moving on to the next colour. The age guidance is a bit confusing; the box has a symbol representing not for 0-6, the written warning states not for under 3s. Only one tool included.This is a nice product that will keep children engaged. It’s a project that doesn’t need to be completed in one sitting and when finished, it can be used or given as a present. I think it would be so much better if the cellophane sheet was applied in small squares to prevent the sticky surface from deteriorating. Overall, this is good value and would make a nice present.

I love working on diamond art pictures, but sometimes I want a quicker project. These diamond art notebooks are ideal for that (I’d recommend them for beginners too) and you also get something really useful once you’re done. I would suggest getting some kind of sealant (to help protect your work and to prevent the cover from sticking to anything it shouldn’t) but, other than that, you get everything you need in this kit.

The notebooks are cheap paper glued into a thin vinyl-like cover. The covers are so thin that they bend easily and form a crease, although they are much sturdier once the diamonds are stuck on. The diamond kit itself is the standard type which comes with a little plastic tray to tip the gems into, the ‘pen’ tool for picking the gems up with, a portion of sticky wax used with the pen tool and all the diamonds in their own plastic packets. There are a nice variety of sizes and shapes to use and it is an enjoyable pastime for a child to do if they are old enough – they need the patience and dexterity to use the tool and some tweezers (not supplied). The larger gems, such as A, B and C, need to be picked up and placed by hand as they are too heavy for the tool. Even the mid-sized ones such as 4, 5 and 6 are too heavy – these ones needed doing with tweezers as they are too small for positioning well with fingers. They go down in size to the very smallest, numbers 1 and 2, which are about 2mm and are smaller than you would generally get in a diamond art kit. The small ones can be picked up with the tool and sticky wax. Over all, I think it is an okay kit – lots of fun to do, cheap quality, but the end result is quite good.

Everything required to add gems to these two leather effect notepads is included in this kit. The instructions are on the back of the box. The notepads have soft covers, and the pages are lined. I would suggest adult supervision for young children; this would be a great craft to do with your kids.

This is a very nice arts and craft gift, it makes the book cover look fantastic when its done. You get 2 50 page books and 2 designs. The only issue I see is that the pages are not replaceable like in a ring binder but I am sure someone will be just as happy to receive this as a gift non the less.

My daughter just loves this, and it’s perfect for keeping her engaged and creative. The kit is easy to follow, with plenty of colourful diamonds that sparkle beautifully when completed. It’s a fun, relaxing project, and the end result looks amazing. Great for kids who enjoy arts and crafts!
