    As someone who suffers periodically with UTI’s I’ve ordered this urine test kit as a means of early detection. You get ten test strips in the pack, all individually sealed in sachets, so they’ll stay “fresh” till use. And the kit itself is straightforward and easy to use - it comes with an explanatory leaflet with colour charts for each of the tests, and you simply dip the test strip, wait for the allotted time, and check the strip against the colour chart. Yes, the different tests vary in timings, but for most people, you probably only need to concentrate on one or two of the results anyway, depending on what you’re testing for. And despite what some other reviewers have said about needing a large volume of urine for these tests, you really don’t….the strip can be dipped easily in a filled standard medical urine sample bottle ( ie about 25ml). All in all, this is a handy test kit to have , and at £9.99 at time of reviewing for ten test strips, it’s also great value.

    I like that these test strips are individually wrapped to keep them fresh and uncontaminated. They seem accurate and are good to have in so you can check yourself, and if there are any concerns you can then go to the doctors.They have a good shelf life, mine have an expiry of nearly 2 years.You need to follow the instructions carefully. It can be hard to read the results accurately as several test results need reading all at the same time.I would have liked the instruction book to have been written in larger type as I had to enlarge it on my printer so I could read it!

    As my doctor recommended, I use these tests from time to time.Two important things:- They have to be kept dry. If left in the bathroom for a while, they absorb moisture from the air and change colour or become ineffective. Always check the colours before using them to make sure they didn't change during the storage.- Read only at the exact time mentioned. This is the only time where the colour gives a valid result. Outside that time, the colour can show anything and it's not valid.They worked perfectly for me.

    This is wonderful to keep in storage for anyone who might be suffering from UTIs or other conditions. The strips, individually packaged which is really important because otherwise they can go stale and stop being as effective. The instructions are clear on how to check for each item. You just dip stick after collecting a urine sample and then wait the allocated time. Easy to use and gives such peace of mind to have them on hand when you need them.

    I have used this type of test strips before and often wondered why when you go to the Doctors they do not use them as a quick test. I’m sure some do, but I feel most do not.Anyway, I purchased some of this previously about 6 years ago. Those ones were not individually sealed so a couple of the tests became unreliable as they deteriorate over a period of time. Hence, why these are individually sealed so they have a better shelf-life.Note: In order to use such a test you do need a little paraphernalia to assist with getting things right I found.The key thing to understand is that these are chemical reactions that are taking place and are time dependant.You will note that some require the urine to be present on the test strip for 30 seconds and others up to 120 seconds.Unfortunately, for some reason the tests are randomly organised ie not by time. Ideally, they would have 120 seconds at the top then all the 60 second results then the 45 seconds, then 40 seconds down to the shortest time of 30 seconds that way you can work from one end to the other rather than having to search up and down for the next time slot.They are randomly organised on my previous purchase so it appear to be a common failure.Other than that observation the test strips worked as expected as I am familiar with the process.Ideally you would do a test once a month just to check all is okay.Note: the timing is quite critical as the colours can change and give a different indication so you need to be vigilant with this type of test.At just under £10 for 10 they are not cheap, but if you use the voucher option you can get 99p off.Hope that helps

    Price at review: £9.99First off this is a great value pack. 10 individually wrapped test strips which each test for 11 different things. This is fantastic.What you need to know before using this is that it is quite fiddly to get right.If you look at the video you can see they suggest dipping the whole strip in a giant beaker of urine. If you have enough to fill a big cup then that is fine. Otherwise you're going to have to improvise using your stream but that might make the test less accurate. Get an idea of how long the business end of the test strip is before you start and make sure you have a suitable cup to use.Before you start you need to really familiarize yourself with the results chart too because different tests on the strip say to read the result at different times and you're supposed to do all of them before 2 minutes are up. Some are like at 45 seconds, others at 60 seconds etc.It is quite a challenge because while you are triple checking whether the exact shade of cyan matches the one of the chart or if a blob has dots in it or not and getting mixed up which of the 11 blobs you are comparing against seconds are ticking away.My advice is to work out the order you are going to read them in and depending how comfortable you are, get someone else to help at the same time.Its good its a 10 pack because its easy to feel like you might have missed something or misread it or let to take too long and read a positive result that might not have been.Whether it is accurate I couldn't say but often these diagnostic tests are very reliable.
