4.0 out of 5 stars A little fiddly off the reel but gives a very neat finish to your wiring...
This cable trunking comes in a resealable pouch and inside you'll find the trunking and an installation leaflet. The trunking comes wrapped around a reel which allows you to remove what you need and store any leftover for another time. The trunking has a hard rubber type pf feel to it and can be easily bent into as position you need it. There is an adhesive backing which only needs the protective tape removing for it to be ready to be stuck to a surface. Surfaces should be dry, clean, and smooth for an ideal surface for the trunking to be adhered to. The trunking is all in one and you need to pull it apart at the seam for it to open up ready for you cabling to be inserted. It simply pushed back together to put it back into a one whole length which looks a lot neater than having two separate parts. The seam is going to be underneath so you don't see it at all. I did find that it was hard to keep the trunking straight as it was always trying to go back to the shape it was in when stored on the reel. It was easier to work with with short runs but longer ones, I found sticking it to the surface as you unreel it was the best way to make it less fiddly. Once installed, it gives a nice, clean finish and it's a nice way to hide those unsightly wires. This is a very nice, modern looking trunking which can accepted a single power cable or two small ethernet cables inside. It can be fiddly to use but once fixed in position, looks really nice...
5.0 out of 5 stars Good adhesive
Cable Trunking to hide bales running down walls etc, I have this to hide cables running to a Home Working desk from the router etc and this has held all three flat cables, but would probably only fit two normal width cables if required. The adhesive is great and so far is showing no signs of peeling off.
2.0 out of 5 stars Nice Idea but difficult to straighten out
This item comes coiled around a disc shaped retainer. I am still trying to straighten it so that it will stick to a serface using the Adhesive on the trunking itself.
3.0 out of 5 stars Looks okay, but difficult to fit
I’d quite a lot of trouble installing this trunking. The problem is that it is supplied as a coil and is very difficult to straighten out. I tried bending it back in the opposite direction to the way that it had been packed but this resulted in a wavy curve and also a twist so that the trunking became spiralled. Even warming it up on a radiator didn’t really help. (see photo, which also shows the spiralling)The trunking is made of thick rubbery plastic, similar to the material that is often used as the outer casing of 13-amp power cable. The self-adhesive tape on the back grips quickly and very firmly. This is good in that it holds the trunking well, but it does not allow for repositioning so you really have to get the position right first time. The space inside the trunking is quite small (about 5 mm) but it can be opened and resealed reasonably easily.I used the trunking to run a pair of speaker cables up the side of a cupboard. I was able to push it against the inside corner, which helped keep it lined up, but getting a straight run across an open wall would’ve been much trickier. There didn’t seem any way to get the tight 90° bend that is shown in the instructions, the best I could manage was about a 70 mm radius curve. It looks fine now it is up, but I’m going to have to knock off a couple of stars because of the effort that it took to install.
4.0 out of 5 stars A Neat and Tidy Solution for Cables
The soft PVC material is easy to bend and shape, making it perfect for hiding cables behind TVs, along walls, or under desks. Normally we use conduit, this is much better as it can be bent and doesn't have the square edges and corners. The adhesive strip is strong and reliable, ensuring the trunking stays securely in place. The side-opening design allows for easy cable insertion and removal. Overall, this cable trunking is a practical and stylish solution for keeping your cables organised and out of sight.
5.0 out of 5 stars Neat finish
Little fiddly but gives a neat and quality finish to hide wires in a room. Cables fit well. Perfect for the job I needed it for
1.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely rubbish
Doesn’t stick and no good for anything
4.0 out of 5 stars Difficult to straighten
This trunking comes on a roll and is a nice quality but I found it difficult to straighten. It does hold a standard electrical cord easily.
