5.0 out of 5 stars Smooth white card

    4. · 5 January 2025

This is good quality smooth white A4 sized card, always useful to have around for when the need will inevitably arise. Can be cut cleanly with a guillotine if a smaller size is required. The only thing that I’m not keen on is that it comes packaged is a flimsy plastic bag, I would have preferred a cardboard box which would have ensured all sheets are well protected.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Quality Card Stock

I ordered this white A4 card to make next years Christmas cards (I always make my own) and I'm glad I chose this pack of 60 pieces, as this is fine for that. The card is really good quality with no imperfections, it's a nice thickness and perfect for crafting and using to draw on with thicker tipped markers but it's not too thick that it can't go through a printer (it went through my HP without any issues).60 sheets for £7.99 is excellent.Recommended.

Good quality card, decent thickness with a nice white smooth finishThick enough to hold its shape while being thin enough to go through our printer, ideal for many craft projects so a good addition to our stocks.

    4.0 out of 5 stars 180gsm card

    J. · 5 January 2025

The TownStix card in 180gsm is not "thick" - thicker than paper but for card making I normally only use 250gsm to 350gsm. I have never tried card through my printer and often wish I could. This card I tried to print with my Epson ET-3850 and it worked no bother - hooray, game changer. It is still a little light for cards, but to produce home made cards quicker makes it so much easier. The card took marker pens no problem. Because it is thin, you can see ghosting of print etc through the card. Overall, the card is good but a bit expensive, priced at £7.99 for 60 sheets at the time of this review = 13p per sheet

5.0 out of 5 stars Fab cardstock/very thick paper for all kinds of crafting.

    A.C.R. · 4 January 2025

This is a (small) ream of A4 white card / thick paper - 60 sheets. It’s 180gsm, so kind of halfway between very thick paper and thin card. It does go through my printer though, so it’s not too thick. It’s white, but not too bright, and is a medium sheen I’d say, not completely matte, but certainly not high shine or glossy (thankfully).I’ll be using this in my general crafting - junk journalling, art journalling, journal making, card making, painting, Gelli Plate printing etc. It’s versatile enough for all my needs and 60 sheets is a decent amount to be playing with.

    5.0 out of 5 stars It's fine

    L.S. · 5 January 2025

Medium weight white card, good for paper construction projects or making your own greeting cards. Might go through your printer or might not, you'll need to check the instructions. Smooth, even surface, nicely cut edges.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not great for printing but okay for crafts

    P.A. · 4 January 2025

I print photos and designs quite a lot and I'm always on the look out for decent matte paper for my work. Unfortunately on my Epson ET-8550 printer this isn't good enough for photos or illustrations. It is far too flat and light with no contrast at all. I did print some black text and it looked okay but it still hasn't dried after 30 minutes and is smudging when rubbed. I think that dedicated printer paper has a special coating that is missing on this cardstock.None-the-less, this will be fine for other projects and uses. It's not the thickest of card and I don't feel that it is quite thick enough for homemade cards or postcards, however I think it feels a bit heavier than 180gsm - more like 200gsm perhaps. It folds quite well without too much cracking. The white finish is bright and clean.Overall, this is okay for crafting but I wouldn't recommend it for inkjet printing, although you might get away with text work if you left it for a long time to completely cure/dry the ink. At 13 pence an A4 sheet the price is a bit high compared to other well performing inkjet paper that I usually use.

5.0 out of 5 stars comfortable and practical for both writing and printing

    T.I.R. · 7 January 2025

I have found this paper to be both practical and enjoyable for writing and printing, offering sharp, clean details in both text and images. Each sheet is consistently uniform in thickness and smoothness, free from any blotchiness. While not entirely silky, it retains a slight tooth, which enhances adhesion for certain media. It feels soft to the touch, with no irregularities or rough patches. It handles liquid-based media like watercolour and ink well. There is no excessive bleeding or warping, and it absorbs liquids at just the right pace, keeping colours vibrant and neatly in place.Sturdiness is another positive; the paper resists tearing and creasing during normal use. Its thickness has a fine balance between rigidity and flexibility, making it more durable than standard office paper yet easy to handle. It maintains its shape when bent or folded, feeling neither brittle nor prone to cracking, and springs back gently when manipulated.I primarily use this paper for sketching and drafting designs, as it handles light paints, inks, and markers with ease, making the process a pleasure.Having used this paper myself, I can say it is a joy to work with, and I would happily recommend it.

Smooth and White Cardstock is Ideal For Printing or Creating Greeting Cards!

The "TOWN STIX 40 Pieces, (65 lb/180 gsm) - White Cardstock 8.5 x 11, Thick Heavy Card Stock Cardboard Printer Paper" arrived promptly and was just as described online.I chose this cardstock as I like to make my own Thank You and Happy Birthday greeting cards.  The 8-1/2" x 11" size folds in half to create a nice sized card that measures 8-1/2" x 5-1/2".  Using markers or pens, I add appropriate artistic touches to each card.  I also like to include a recent photo of the recipients enjoying themselves, glued to the front or inside of the card.  The high-quality 65 lb cardstock is smooth and white and is ideal for use with ink jet or laser printers.  It folds in half easily with a perfect crease.  It's a good value for the money and is suitable for many different printing or arts and crafts projects.Enjoy!Highly Recommended.
