    I've been a roll-on user for years, but spotted this gel stick idea and throught I would give it a try. Once you remove the red plastic lid, there's a foil seal to peel off for sanitary reasons. The gel is propelled forward using a knob at the bottom of the antiperspirant container, a bit like a stick of school glue. It feels as though the screw thread was either cross-threaded or had come out of whatever it threads into, however after a few turns the product started to emerge from the top like children's salt-dough out of a shaper. It goes on very wet, but dries after a couple of minutes.In terms of performance, I haven't noticed any sweat on my underarms, nor have I been conscious of the feeling of any film there. There is a scent if you put your nose right in there, but it's not overly strong. The 48 hour promise has certainly been fulfilled in my case. I've been doing some basic exercises and desk work. I can't comment on performance after a multi-hour gym session.I have relatively sensitive skin, which is why I forego aerosol antiperspirant, but the Old Spice gel hasn't irritated my skin at all.If I had to find a fault, it would be the amount of plastic involved in the packaging. There's the lid, body, bottom, knob, thread and piston that pushes up the gel. The plastic also all feels rather thick. A thinner body or widely recycled glass might be a better material option.

    I received: Old Spice Captain Antiperspirant & Deodorant Clear Gel Stick for Men 70ml, Perfume Quality Scent & 48H Dry and Fresh, Anti-White Mark TechnologyI have hyperhidrosis and wear those bamboo t-shirts to feel more comfortable. Because of this I always choose an effective anti-perspirant deodourant over something like a body spray.I have liked using this Old Spice stick, once I figured out to give it a mild squeeze instead of relying on the twist mechanism. It goes on well and dries in quickly. Surprisingly it's not messy at all to wear and I've found it effective in keeping me fresh.

    I'm very scent sensitive and this has caused issues with using spray deodorants. This is a gel type stick that's scented with a twist on the classic Old Spice that my dad used to wear in the 70s. It smells fresh and clean, but not as if you'd been bathing in it like the pine-scented miasma brute-force nightmare of the 80s. Slightly more citrus than the original. It is very pleasant. It is a little fiddly to get going, but once it is then it is surprisingly mess free. It lasts well, 48 hours between showers and not a bit of dampness. The packaging is a lot of plastic though. That isn't the best. This seems to be lasting well. A little goes a long way.

    Old Spice is the classic men's deodorant, and I don't think it can be beaten. It has been used down the generations in my family, and this roll on version will be going into my son's Christmas stocking this year. There really isn't much more to say, except that if you haven't tried Old Spice, give it a go! It's as good as it has always been.

    smells good, I'd say it helps as much as my other old spice deodorants and I've got less sweating in that area. I usually only apply it after shower so it's a fresh slate.

    This comes with a foil seal.The dispenser works well and gives about the right amount. It's a fairly large container but given it's a gel I don't think it's going to last too long.The gel feels nice when it goes on and doesn't really mark clothes as long as you use a sensible amount.I'm not sure I'd say it fully lasts for 48hrs. It probably stops bad odours for that long but the fragrance doesn't last that long. The fragrance is very much like the classic Old Spice aftershave.Overall I really like this. I knocked off a star because I thought it could be slightly cheaper but it's close.

    I'll spare you a photo of my armpit, after applying this, but if you're hoping to smell like you've been splashing on the Old Spice like there's no tomorrow, then you may want some of their after shave. This has quite a nice fresh smell to it, and goes on like hair gel. The first time you use it, it's a bit awkward to get the right amount - I used too much at first, and there's basically no going back. But, this is a nice deodorant - lasts well, and smells nice and fresh.
