    This was used on both wood and plastic surfaces out in my garden. It has not formed a waterproof protective coating as described, it just flaked up and disintegrated when I touched it with my finger a couple of days later. I’ve had to remove it completely and will replace with normal silicone sealant.

    We have a touring caravan that has had roof leaks in the past so wanted something easy to apply. The instructions are very basic, just brush it on and don’t get it wet for 24 hours. There are no usage instructions about cleaning the brush or any warning information about the gel itself which worries me. When you open the pot, you have to pull off a security strip around the lid and under this is another lid that sits in the top of the pot. When putting the top lid back on the pot I was frustrated that neither lid actually locks or screws back on, so you have to be careful how you carry and store this not to knock it over or you could get into quite a mess. The product does work and a test piece I painted with the gel was waterproof 24hours later. Just be careful about storing and carrying this product.My reviews follow this star rating:1 Star; Very unsatisfactory product. I do not recommend buying it,2 Stars; Significant deficiencies, does not fulfil its expected functions,3 Stars; Average product. Complies with expectations,4 Stars; Very good and satisfying.     I was a little bit trepidicious of using this product but after two coats I noticed that it was a good way to prevent leaks.Very easy to paint on dries relatively quickly and provides good coverage.It sticks to most of the things that I've put it on to seal and overall works as expected but definitely likes two coats more than one.
