Ok, so I've had two bean to cup machines with the steam wands for frothy milk and they are a faff. Fine to make hot milk but cleaning is mandatory because it's a public health incident if you don't...I've had the magnetic stirring heated milk thing from Nespresso and that is also a faff to clean and generally fine but it sits in the cupboard.This thing - I had no illusions that this was a bargain basement find... so expectations were low. Oh how wrong I was.Slapped in two AA cells (not supplied) and 30 seconds later had VERY frothy milk direct from the fridge (full fat) so much so that I had to stop before it overflowed the jug I was using. (More than doubled in volume).If you slap a mug of milk in the microwave to heat up this thing will give you very good foamy milk for your cappuccino ready to pour over the espresso.Genuinely impressed by how easy this was. Rinsed under the tap in seconds and put on the side to dry. Effortless clean up.What's not to like. Oh, and it will do double duty to make egg white foams for the cocktail mixologist. Bargain!

Keplin Handheld Milk Frother - Stainless Steel Electric Whisk - Portable Battery Operated Coffee Stirrer for Lattes, Matcha, Protein ShakesJust what I wanted for mixing my cold milk drinks. I have a selection of the Blendsmiths blends that I like to drink cold as well as hot - matcha mix, chocolate mixes, etc. Whilst these sort of mixes dissolve well in hot milk, it is always more difficult to dissolve / mix them with cold milk due to their fine nature - try doing the same with cocoa powder!I use a small wire hand whisk, which is successful, but can take a bit of time. A couple of seconds with this whisk and it was all done, lovely iced lattes in under a minute.The whisk is very powerful, so you will need to experiment a bit to get it right. I found the best way was to put the whisk in the glass (at the bottom) before turning it on, then pulsing it on /off.

At the time of review this is good value at less than a fiver! You need 2 x AA size batteries which are not supplied. I used 1.2v rechargables and these worked fine, although they were a tight fit. Simply pop in the batteries and press the large silver button on the top and it whirs into life!The only issue is that even on 1.2v batteries it's actually really fast! I tested it using a mug of water and in only a few seconds it had created a vortex right to the bottom of the mug which resulted in much of the contents spilling over the top! So you need to either whisk in short spurts or be very careful to keep moving the whisk around to prevent it creating a large whirlpool!

keplin handheld milk frother.This was on sale for £4.99 when I got it. I’ve wanted one of these for a while, but never got around to getting one. It takes 2 AA batteries, make sure you put the ribbon under the battery before you put it in otherwise you’ll struggle to get it out.To use it is really simple, simply press the button on the end and it works, release it and it stops. It’s easy to use, but I found it difficult to keep the button pressed comfortably with my thumb for about 20 seconds because of hand pain, but that’s a me problem, not a whisk problem. It made my mocca nice and frothy, wasn’t too noisy at all and saved lots of stirring. So easy to clean too, just put it under running water and it all cleans off, give it a press for good luck and it’s clean and dry. Very impressed.
