4.0 out of 5 stars Effective but very hard to get out
I was looking forward to trying this rescue balm, as my skin has been itching a lot lately, and I had tried pretty much everything I had at home.Well, this balm has proven to be very effective indeed. With just one application, I could already feel some relief. I've applied it a few more times, and the itchiness has virtually disappeared. Now, for the not so good… It was extremely hard to get the product out of the tube! Once you peel the little foil off, it was like the cream had dried inside, and no matter how much I squeezed, it was just not coming out. I also tried poking it with a pin, in case I hadn't unsealed it completely. At one point, I was even wondering if it was empty, as just air seemed to come out and my fingers were starting to hurt with so much squeezing. Surely, it shouldn't be that hard! When I finally managed to get a bit out, the consistency was clearly not like the picture shows. I've taken my own picture to show you. Once I got some balm out, it was easy to apply and spread, and the effect was almost immediate.I'd suggest using another form of packaging. A small pot would be more user friendly, as you could get easier access to the balm without having to squeeze so much. It'd also help with being able to reach the last bit of the product. With this tube, I'll probably end up cutting a piece off the bottom and making a lid with it, like I do with this kind of tubes to avoid waste.Overall, I would be very happy to use this balm again and again as long as the package and price become reasonable.
5.0 out of 5 stars A Little Pot of Wonders
I've been using this Made of More Resilience Night Cream for several nights now, and I have to say, it's already made a noticeable improvement to the condition of my skin. I'm in my early 50s and this cream you could say, was made for me. The price tag however, puts this out of reach of a lot of women, which is a pity. It's extremely expensive for a 50ml pot, so the question is, is it worth it? Feeling and seeing the difference in my skin, I would have to say if you can afford it, yes it is.You don't actually need to use very much to fully cover both face and neck. I've used the barest film coating on the tips of my fingers and that's been sufficient to spread it all over. It feels lightweight on my skin, though it has a very rich creamy consistency which is buttery and soft. There is an aroma, which is not a fragrance, it's rather like a vegetable oil scent I would say. I use it as directed at night, and immediately my skin feels softer, deeply hydrated and more pliable. In the morning, the positive effects are still there, soft, dewy, peachy feeling skin. The tone and texture looks more even. My skin looks brighter and feels deeply hydrated. I look more awake. There are a lot of ingredients packed into this little wonder pot, many I admit, I've never heard of before. The description thankfully, tells us about each one and it's beneficial properties. It really is "made of more". I am absolutely loving using it and the experience of seeing the results throughout the day. My skin genuinely hasn't felt this good in years. It's a premium product, though with a premium price tag. I will savour every last drop.
4.0 out of 5 stars My wife likes it so far
I got this for my wife and she seems quite impressed with it on a number of levels. She can be quite choosy about these kind of things so this positivity at such an early stage definitely bodes well. She feels it's been a big help in both removing make-up and also giving her skin a more hydrated appearance and a slight glow. She says it's absorbed very easily and she feels after applying it her skin feels softer which has got to be a good thing. It has some quite beneficial ingredients in it such as hemp seed oil and CBG. She likes it also because it doesn't have a strong fragrance at all which she prefers. Price wise it's not cheap, granted it's not as expensive as some skin care products but it's definitely not at the cheap end.It is early days so far, but it seems like it is working well enough for her to want to continue using it long term.
3.0 out of 5 stars Difficult to dispense
The backs of my hands get red, itchy and raw. Since my usual moisturiser wasn't available, I thought I'd give this a try. First impressions were mixed. I like that the packaging is recycled and recyclable (giving it an off-white hue). It's small and portable. The lid is really easy to twist on-and-off, being the entire width of the flat bottle. The product itself is odd. I appreciate it has vegan ingredients, but if the bottle is even a little bit cold it's incredibly hard to get out. When it first arrived I thought the spout was bunged solid, but it turns out it was just a very viscous balm. Like a solid lump of wax! Even after warming to room temperature, it's very hard to squeeze out; my partner really struggles with the tube. Luckily, a little goes a long way, and it spreads to a thin, slightly shiny wax layer. It takes a very long time to be absorbed into the skin; usually I need to wash my hands before it fully absorbs, washing off the rest.In terms of the effects, it made the backs of my hands softer over three days, but did also really irritate the dry, itchy skin when I applied it. It almost felt like rubbing a chilli on broken skin! I cannot speak to the potency of the individual ingredients, but something was obviously reacting! The price for what you get is certainly premium, but with the difficulties in dispensing it, and then the irritation, I don't feel I've had a premium experience. I'll probably finish off the bottle, but I won't be ordering any more.
